My alternator went out on my car & had no choice but pull over out the way of traffic. My friend following me was late for work down the street so I jumped in his truck took him to work and picked up his mechanic friend who stayed in between the two places. 30 min later we get back to my car which was loaded on a flatbed towing truck. The driver of tow truck said we could pay $100 he would tow it wherever we wanted so we towed it to the mechanics house where he put my battery on a charger until it was fully charged. I tried to drive my car and immediately noticed something wrong with the steering wheel when I was going straight my wheel was cocked to the left as if my wheels were turned to the left. I didn't make it far before turning around bc my front tire was squealing & couldn't go over 40 mph. This was on Thursday I called holcomb towing was told I'd have to speak to owner on Monday. Monday I called told them my car was on the side of the road 7 min from there location bc I was trying to get it to them bc I didn't know where else to take it being I'm not from hot springs & couldn't drive it home in condition. They said call when I got to my car with keys & they would come take a look at it. They did pick it up but after inspecting my car they said nothing was bent or messed up resulting from being towed & wasn't anything they could do about it. My vehicle wasn't making any squealing noise nor was steering messed up. I wasn't present when they loaded it & they didn't have keys to put the car in neutral either. weekend dispatcher at holcomb said they should of used a dollie or skates to load it w/o the key. the manager from hotel said they wenched it onto the flatbed. I couldn't of driven to hot springs if car was already in the condition it is now . They only told me reasons it wasn't their fault ..I will be taking to small claims court as I see they aren't willing to admit fault or fix it. Not good business I paid $100 for them to damage my vehicle.
