    ABC Fitness Solutions, LLC is a third-party billing company for thousands of health fitness clubs and gyms throughout the United States. ABC does not own or control any health or fitness clubs. ABC does not create or control the membership cancellation procedures of the health and fitness clubs we serve. Although this business has a high volume of complaints, the number of complaints received by the BBB constitutes a small percentage of the health club member accounts serviced by the business. The majority of complaints pertain to consumers attempting to cancel their gym membership agreement. Based on the complaints processed by the BBB, it appears that many consumers do not follow the cancellation procedures set forth in the gym membership agreement that the consumer signed and agreed to.       I had an 18 month gym membership and went to cancel it after it was over. The company responded that my account had been canceled and then proceeded to continue to charge me for two months. When I was finally able to get through to a person over the phone they lied to me about not having received the email. I was able to talk to another individual who saw my email and assured me that they would refund me for the two months I was wrongly charged. I have contacted them twice because I haven't received my refund. Initially they responded saying I'd have it by a specific date. After that date had past they stopped responding to my emails. I have never experienced this level of frustration with a company before nor have I experienced such shady business practices.

      I join **** gym, about 10 years ago, and hurt my back., which I stop going to the gym and at least 5 or 6 years a company called ABC ****** Solutions to over I think not sure what happen, but they were taking $19 a Month and a yearly fee of $49…. I let them take the money out it since I thought I might be able to go back to the gym. Which I have not because of my back problems. I don’t know anything about this gym since I join **** Gym. I called today to cancel ( which I had to Google to find their number then call and was given 2 other numbers) and was given a hard time to cancel, when I didn’t even sign agreement with them. Also, I have to pay money to cancel. This company was getting money from me for years and I was not using the membership. They are telling me I can’t get the $49 that they charge to today after collecting all this money for free. I asked to speak to a manager and spoke to the same person. I don’t have a tracking or account number, they found me by my name and phone number I had at that time( **** *********

As of October 17, 2024, her account is in pending cancellation status, with a remaining balance of $10.00. *** ******** will have access to the club until October 27, 2024.

      If *** ******** can provide sufficient proof that her written cancellation request was submitted to ABC, please ask her to send it to us so we can consider backdating her cancellation.       In July, 2024, I filed & won 2 claims with my CC company regarding charges associated with my prior gym & ABC Fitness Solutions based on the following: -I informed the owner in Feb, 2024, in person, that I was moving out of state. -Upon completing my 12th payment in May, 2024, I sent an email per the contract to formally cancel my membership. As the contract stipulates I would owe 11 payments in addition to the First Month plus Enrollment Fee, I knew I had ful?lled my contractual obligation. Moreover, I had asked the owner how to handle my payments prior to moving, and he said they would stop billing at term's end. The ABC Fitness Solutions portal also showed that I was set up on a non-auto renewal. -On June 27th, 2024, I received a text from ABC Fitness Solutions, informing me there was an issue with my membership. I immediately forwarded my cancellation email. -ABC Fitness Solutions refused to acknowledge my cancellation sent to the email per the contract, and said I was supposed to inform them directly. -As I was not able to come to a just resolution, I paid the amount they insisted I owed for June & July 2024. -Subsequently, I filed 2 claims with evidence to my CC company to dispute the charges. I won both disputes, and ABC Fitness Solutions reversed both charges and my account was canceled. -Since then, ABC Fitness Solutions has been sending automated phone calls (no human is available to speak with) and emails (it is a no-reply account) trying to get me to update my payment method and pay a new mysterious balance that they say I owe. They are threatening to send me to collections as a result of non-payment, but they are in error and are now engaging in predatory practices to try and intimidate me into paying them for services that I do not owe. -Again, I made 12 on-time payments per the contract, the portal indicated that I was on a non-auto renewal, the contract should have terminated after the 12th payment and June & July shouldn't have been assessed.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me provided no further no-reply emails & phone calls are made & that no balance is due as I fulfilled my annual, non-renewal agreement with ***** by making 12 on-time payments per the agreement, and cancelled in person & in writing with the club directly. Additionally, any balance billed beyond the annual agreement was successfully disputed with my CC company and reversed by ABC in July 2024. Thus, no balance should be reflected on my account permanently.

      I canceled my subscription via phone. I continued to be charged for September and October. I send an email requesting my money be refunded, and the company refused to refund for the the previous two billing periods. Furthermore, this company has a history of these kinds of unscrupulous practices. This isn't the first time this company has overcharged my family.

      I have completed my 2 year membership contract and I am trying to cancel as I have moved away where the services no longer can be provided. I had to submit cancellation in writing and was given a 30day cancellation review even if I have met the contract. I was charged another fee and will be charged until this company feels that they will accept my cancellation. This is fraud!

      I was told to send a certified letter outlining why I wanted to cancel membership and stop auto renewal..I have not used this facility since Nov 2023.. The club is in a dangerous part of town—it has homeless encampments behind building and in parking lot—-it is unsafe. I offered to pay any back dues .Response was only way to cancel is if you move or deployed..this is biggest scam.

      I signed up and paid for the full year ($299) and then the location I signed up at closed 3 weeks later with no notice to me. They said they sent an email a few days before closing, but I never received it even after searching for it in spam folder. I talked to *****, the owner of a different location, and he told me 'no worries once they get everyone moved over from the closed location to the Plano location they will get me my refund.' He said that it should take about 2-3 weeks, and we had that conversation on 6/26/24. Well nearly 3 months later and I still haven't received my refund. ******* ******* is saying they are waiting for their parent company ABC Fitness to approve the refund, or give them money, or something I'm not too sure since I don't work for these companies. I have had no communication with the ABC Fitness, as ****** ***** won't reply to my emails or calls. I have a forwarded message from ****** ***** saying she was not able to complete my refund for whatever reason not once but twice. After two failed attempts you think someone would reachout to me and let me know what was going on, but that never happened. No one from ABC Fitness has reached out to me about the failed refunds. The only reason I even know about it is because I reached out to them. It feels like if I stopped reaching out they would just keep my money that has already been promised to be returned to me. ABC Fitness has also mislead their own partner company. ******* ******* is the gym I signed up with and they were told my ABC Fitness the refund has been completed, when in reality it had not and still has not been completed. ******* ******* Vice President of Finance, ***** *******, also told me they would write me a check for the refund on 6/30/24, and I still have received nothing. Screen shot attached. I just want my refund of $290 (even though I paid $299) and for someone at ABC Fitness, Preferably ****** *****, to reply to me about what is going on.

      I had cancelled my membership with ***** ****** ******* last month. The general manager at the gym told me I only have to pay for one more month after the date I cancel. I have paid the $16.23 for the last month. I have spoken to ABC Fitness yesterday and today, who claim I owe $162 for the rest of the year's membership. Management at ***** ****** ******* disagrees. ABC says the gym is the one charging me $162, but management at the gym has denied they are charging me $162. I do not owe this money as management at the gym has confirmed. I would like confirmation from ABC fitness that I do not owe the $162. I have called and emailed ABC several times, and ABC refuses to help. They say *** sent the charge and there is nothing they can do. I do not owe this money. I would like ABC to admit I do not owe the money. I would like this to not go to collections, since I do not owe anything.

      I was a silver sneakers member at Workout Anytime. I asked what it would take to upgrade my membership to use tanning and massage. I was told it would be an additional $15 per month. I agreed verbally. After one month, I was locked out and went to the front desk. They ran my debit card again, and without informing me, charged me a $49.99 "initiation fee". I immediately demanded they cancel my "premiums" and revert to silver sneakers. I left the facility at that time and never returned, except on two occasions so they could show me where I had allegedly signed a contract agreement. They couldn't do that. I became a member at ****** ******** ABC Financial entered my checking account I provided to ****** *******, and billed me for disputed charges with Workout Anytime. I cancelled my premium membership at **, but ** did have a credit card for incidental purchases (drinks, etc). ABC found that card and made 6 charges of $14.98 WO over the previous 10 days. God only knows what their justification for that is. They are sick puppies. Like time share cancellation, there is now a growing business for WO Fitness contract cancellation. ABC Financial is a cancer on the fitness club industry.
