I was planning my kitchen remodel and they provided me a quote for the work. As I thought about the job I went back to them and asked if we could add in them replacing my bathtub while they had the floors up for replacement. So they added in the bathtub labor costs and the quote went up. I signed the contract for the work and waited about 4 months for the work to start. During this waiting time I realized that I needed to spend less on the project and asked them not to replace the tub since they had not started the work, they agreed but I was never given updated billing. They even took less of a deposit stating that the overall job cost would go down. I asked in person and in writing multiple times for the updated final statement so I could make sure I had enough to pay them, they always told me they would get it to me but never sent it to me but assured me that it wouldn’t be that much since I had paid for most of the job initially. They made some mistakes and the job took a lot longer to complete. They did a poor job with the fine details at the end and quickly finished up the job. Never heard from them again until year later their billing person discovered that they had never sent me a final bill so they contacted me asking me to pay but it was for the full amount that included the bathtub and a few other things that they did not do and some materials I paid for. I politely brought this up to their attention as obviously after a year it must be a simple mistake and they would clear up the billing issue and send me a correct statement however they stood by the amount and decided to change the numbers and costs to the items on the bill stating they found the error but the final amount is still the same. They are still on the most recent revised invoice billing for things they didn’t do. On top of this issue, I am having major issues with the work they did and will be having it inspected to see what it will take to correct this building issue.
