Coast Management was hired by our HOA in 2018. The previous ***** stated that in the beginning things went ok but sharply declined in service as of 2020. After a disastrous meeting in 2021 with our supposed account manager, the HOA decided that they had had enough and started looking to exit. In our review we found that Coast had not paid several of our bills on time, they would distribute financial reports late then would never respond to any accounting errors. They had an excuse for everything- from late fees applied due to their own errors, reasons why checks were not coming, late reports. Employees seem to leave the company abruptly.
The real fun began when we decided to terminate our agreement. We followed the process to the letter of the law and still did not get one reply from ******* ****** or his wife who front several businesses from the same address. They advanced themselves 4 months of fees and bank fees (not allowed) then continued to advance themselves bank fees AND impose an increase in those fees after the fact. They charged for mailings when nothing was being mailed out.... they are frauds who skim off the top of any account and hope folks do not find out. When we terminated, they did not send us a full report, they did not close our account properly so we did not get our money back from them for another 3 months. We had to demand our bank statements. A quick google search revealed in 2021 ****** had been suspended from the bar and California realtor association. He was finally disbarred entirely at the end of 2021. He is in Chapter 11 currently and has a long track record of litigation. DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY who have no qualms about applying any little late fee to line their pockets, never reply unless forced to, and otherwise seem to have a total disregard for the duties they are supposed to carry out.
