On 10/11/24, I made a reservation to Legoland CA Vacation for the dates of 11/1/24-11/2/24 Confirmation *******. Paid $658.07 for this itinerary declining Trip Protection Plan. I needed to make a modification/change the date of this booking to 11/2/24-11/3/24. I called reservation desk to request this change, and was informed of the $99 amendment fee, which I acknowledged. According to the Terms and Conditions on my booking, the verbiage is clear for guest who decline Trip Protection Plan "Between 5 and 45 days prior to arrival, modifications only are permitted for a $99 amendment fee per occurrence. Any changes to your booking are subject to availability and new prices may apply. For additions to a booking (adding a nights stay, adding a traveler, adding ancillary products), the amendment fee will be waived." With this in mind, I requested to add an extra Birthday Package (ancillary product) which is $99 in lieu of the amendment fee. I was informed that changing the date of my reservation does not void the amendment fee regardless of purchasing the extra Birthday Package (ancillary product) because the request changes the date. I asked the agent to point and direct me to the statement on the T&C that specifies this requirement. They were unable to do so, and continue to state that it does not apply to my request. Out of frustration, I proceeded to dismiss my request of adding the Birthday Package in addition to the amendment me. The agent proceeded to make the changes in dates of the itinerary charging me the amendment fee for a new total of $774.99. This is not right, T&C does NOT imply or even more, specify, changes of dates is excluded from the waiver regardless of the clear verbiage "For additions to a booking (adding a nights stay, adding a traveler, adding ancillary products), the amendment fee will be waived. I would like to the business to honor my request to provide the Birthday Package in lieu of the amendment fee as part of the waiver.
