I was scammed regarding credit card merchant machine fees and cancellation penalties of up to $1,800 per machine. A Vietnamese agent offered me card processing fees lower than the old company I was using, about $300 less. Since I have two shops, I could save an average of $500 to $600 per month, depending on usage. If it's not right, they said I could cancel anytime without paying any fees. Since I have worked with many Vietnamese people who have always been 100% reputable with me, and I have never canceled a contract, I trusted them. I thought this was a great deal, but I fell into a trap and had to pay a much higher processing fee, almost 3% per month. This means I paid nearly double the fees compared to the machines from my old company.*** My income is around $120k per month, and the card processing fees with the old company were about $1,600. For the same $120k monthly income, the fees with the new company were $3,200.
