My father (****************************************) fell prey to an over the phone request to renew his vehicle warranty through this company. He has been billed by a third party (MEPCO). When I called the number on the **** to cancel this policy, they tell me we have to call the company who sold him the policy. My father says he already went through this process once. No one calls us back and he keeps getting a **** every month. There is seemingly no way to cancel this policy. I just want this policy cancelled. I do not want him to keep racking up a **** every month. He is on a fixed income.

I bought a vehicle protection plan from Vehicle Protection Specialist LlC in November 2020. I have paid them approximately $1500 on this plan. I noticed on my last bank statement the monthly charge was not deducted. I reached out to the company and was advised my plan was canceled. The payments were automatically deducted from my checking account so I do not understand if there was a problem why I was not notified. I did not receive any letters or calls advising there was an issue. I spoke with several rude employees who were laughing at my frustration. I advised the gentleman I wanted my policy reactivated and I was told this is not Burger King you cant have it your way. I spoke with manager ****** and advised I wanted copies of notifications sent and she did not advise she would send but advised she could start a new policy. I have been ripped off by this company and I do not have this type of money to waste for no services rendered.

Requesting partial refund of unused portion of the Service Agreement from Auto Services ********************************************************************** ************** * Purchased Auto Service Agreement effective on 8/19/2019; * Mileage at purchase: ****** miles; * Service Agreement expiration: ******* miles or 9/24/2024; * Vehicle sold: 5/28/2021; * Mileage at time of Sale: ******; * Three letters have been sent to the business (7/2/21, 8/2/21 and 8/18/21), and numerous phone calls to determine amount of partial refund. CS has reviewed customer complaint. CS will issue refund amount of $652.60. No further action is required at this time.

      Customer response

      02/16/2022

**  The original purchase price of the Auto Service contract is $3242.00, effective on 8/12/19 with ****** miles.  The term was 60 months with expiration date of 8/19/24 or ******* miles.

**  At the time of sale on 6/28/21, ~22 months of 60 months of the policy term were used (36%) with ~38 months remaining (64%).  The reimbursement should be closer to ~$2053.26.    OR

**  14,056 miles of the covered ****** service miles were used. The unused mileage is ~80% of the total covered mileage remaining or $2593.60.

**  By these calculations, the reimbursement amount should be closer to the $2,000 amount.

**  The Vehicle Protection Specialists, LLC  partial refund of $652.60 represents only 20% reimbursement.  An amount not commensurate with the remaining balance for both time or mileage.

**  May I get a breakdown of how Vehicle Protection Specialists LLC calculated their refund amount?

      Respectfully,

      *********************
