Ride Management and Shady Business Practices Salesperson insisted that we would have to buy add-on services in order to buy a car. After threatening to buy elsewhere (cars are a commodity), agent wasted nearly half an hour before magically waiving the requirement. Second complaint was that agent said they would match Carmax offer. When we came in, she back-pedaled, stating that they value cars differently and Carmax likely wouldnt honor their own offer! Agent had full sale detail with $1,500 below Carmax on the trade-in, pushing us to sign. When I refused and threatened to remove the trade-in, she magically got management to agree to the Carmax valuation. It took a full 3 hours to complete the purchase process, noting that we paid cash (ie no financing). A few days after the purchase, the sales agent badgered us in broken English to give her a positive online review in exchange for the previously negotiated car mats. To add insult to injury, her manager backed her up and didnt see anything wrong with such blackmail.Review from Mi S

Terrible dealer. I will never be going back to Irvine **** Watch out for the $1495 they add on for CA Theft recovery . They wont remove it even if you dont want the service. We went to ******************** and got a far better deal without this unwanted add on that Irvine insisted they would not remove.Review from Mich M

I've purchased 2 cars from here and overall had a great experience. It's the ************* I'd like to address. Understandable during Covid and post (long time has passed, right?) They still don't have their car wash working! Really, this is an excuse or they say we're short staffed. I see plenty of cars being sold ea. time I'm in there and a fully staffed Service Desk. You can justifiably have a ****** ther to wash the serviced vehicles. Other dealerships have not stopped running the car thru a wash! So now I call to make a service appt. today and he tell me you have to book it online. The 1st avail. is over 1 wk. out. I book it. I decide to go on another link to book and what do you know ? I get a next day appt. So what's up with that?Review from Richard P

I couldn't agree more with what ************** and ************** posted below. I had exactly the same experience that ****** stated below. The finance person (Bastan) pushed me to buy the Extended Warranty package by convincing me that it was a good investment since it will help maintain the resell value of the car, and that we could cancel it at anytime and get a prorated refund if we didn't want to keep the warranty anymore. Of course, we learned that this was completely untrue when we tried to cancel the Extended Warranty. Only a small portion of the Warranty was cancellable, and the rest could not be cancelled. Of course, we never knew this because when we bought the car, ****** only made a copy of the first page of the Extended Warranty Agreement and didn't include the other 4-5 pages which state the ****************** of the warranty which states that it's NON-CANCELLABLE! Even after contacting their General Manager (*****************************) and Office Manager (*************************) requesting a copy of the ENTIRE agreement (including the back pages), they still have not responded to my request and are blatantly withholding the Terms and Conditions of the Warranty that I purchased. Isn't this FRAUD or MISREPRESENTATION?! I have never come across a more morally unethical company in my life. I'm astonished that organizations like the Better Business Bureau or ************************ do not investigate the practices of companies like Kia of Irvine. I really regret buying a car from this place. Their customer service is really horrible, and they don't seem to care about their customers at all. When I bought the car, they made me get a "theft patrol" device with it. But soon after, the car's alarm started acting up. I took it to the service department, and even though they said they'd fix it and let me know what was going on within a few days, they didn't tell me anything for three days. When I finally got in touch with them, they said the problem was with the theft patrol device and that they needed more time to replace it. I couldn't go without my car for any longer, so I took it back, hoping they'd install the device at my house. But even after six months, it's still not installed, despite me asking them about it many times.I asked for a refund for the device since I didn't need it anymore, but they said no refunds. The finance department and the people in charge of fixing the car haven't been helpful at all. Whenever I try to get in touch with them, they're either not available or don't seem to care.This whole experience has been really disappointing. The car service is not good, the finance department doesn't help, and overall, they're really unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend anyone do business with them. I also gave a request to cancel my prepay service package which they say will take about 60 days, its been more than that yet no response nor any luck on status after calling them many times. ***** in the service department, while friendly and nice is nonresponsive to phone messages and request. My EV6 is less 11 months old and the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) is defective and must be replace. The dealer had my vehicle over a week and I had to ask for a rental car. ***** said that the Enterprise Rental would call me, but they never did. I call Enterprise and they said *** never called them. I call ***** who, while on the line, arranged for the rental car. I've left multiple messages for ***** to return my call without any response.I wish there was a better dealership which was closer.Kia of Irvine Response

This place is into bait and switch.Do not go here .I made numerous phone calls and sent emails to verfy a price on a new 2023 Sorento.I was sent a price by email that was represented as the full and final purchase price.I also had a trade in that I had aan appraisal from Carmax.They led me to believe that they would come close to that price.So i made an appointment to buy the car.Upon arrival,I was handed a copy of the sticker from the car I intended to buy.I took a test drive while they appraised our car.Upon our return we were handed off to a different guy with a calculator.He started a bunch of babble about how the car couldnt be sold at the agreed upon price.They had had to have about $8,000.00 more.Our appraisal for the trade in came in $7,000.00 less then Carmax!This place is a den of thieves that practice bait and switch.BEWARE!!!BEWARE!!!!Kia of Irvine Response

Do not trust this dealership. They are practicing unlawful practices. The finance person, *****, forced me to purchase extra services that i didnt want in order to get lower interest rate on my refinance. This is illegal. I have called them numerous times to have them cancel the contracts and they have not returned my call. If anyone has experienced this with this dealership and is not satisfied we can get a class action lawsuit.Kia of Irvine Response

My airbag light came on in my 2013 ******* and I'm actually still under warranty. I called to schedule an appointment and confirmed everything is covered. My personal mechanic checked codes for me to have me be prepared, dropped off car, ***** took keys..I had a missed call and no one answered and I called Kia ****** to see if someone called. ***** claimed he called but texted too, no text..***** told me one code was for a clock spring and other was airbag. He said they replaced clock spring but I'd have to pay an outrageous cost for airbag as they deemed "expired" that's all they would say. I went to my mechanic and he said it's supposed to be covered. I told him why would you change a part and it doesn't work because it's not attached to something..new clock spring with bad airbag they now claim isn't covered. I got a quote from my mechanic and it is over $1000 cheaper and that's not including dealership/service labor..I need this fixed because it's dangerous for me unsafe if I get into an accidentKia of Irvine Response

FIRST OF ALL IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD.I am a 65 year old single female. I called about a used car advertised by Kia of Irvine on Cargurus. A sales rep named ********* helped me. I knew exactly what I wanted and did lots of research. It was really bad weather the day they wanted me to come in but I told them I didn't want to drive in the rain. The sales rep said that they would bring the car to me. I spoke to the Finance Manager who started telling me all the things I would receive. It kind of sounded too good to be true so I asked him if there was a charge for all the additional warranty and extra's and he said not enough to be noticeable. I sent him a text saying I did not want anything added. NOTHING. I then sent him an example of what the payment and terms should be for just the car. He said he understood. A couple of lot guys delivered the car. They brought all kinds of paperwork and told me that I needed to sign wherever it was highlighted. I saw that the finance manager added in all kinds of extras. The guy delivering the car said that the Finance Manager would be calling me to cancel all the extras I didn't ask for. I still have had no phone calls and I didn't receive a copy of the paperwork at all so I don't even know what I signed. I have emailed and texted the dealership and I have received no calls, emails or correspondence at all and I still don't even have a copy of the paperwork.Kia of Irvine Response
