Estey Electric might be a good electrician according to reviews but I never would use them for any solar installation again. Estey electric was hired to install a off grid solar system using new and used component from the previous smaller system which working fine it just got to small.We already had cleared out a perfect sunny area for placing the new solar panel. Same place we had our previous system for years.Estey director of operations recommended a better place further away Personally dealing with cancer treatmentsand trusting a "professional " I agreed. Turning out that the solar panels will have no sun from November to February compare to former location which gets 3 - 4 hours during this time.Estey electric also damaged batteries during installation when they overcharged and overheated batteries for 10 days. After I was not able to fully charge the batteries Estey electric tested the batteries when they found 8 cells damaged. Although I was convinced batteries were damaged by Estey electric and I wanted to get things done, I agreed to get the batteries for additional $3200. After the repair and after the overheating I got informed that Estey electric never checked the waterlevels in the batteries. I immediately checked it, found all of them on a very low level and refilled the batteries by myself.Even after the repair the system is not properly working and is constantly shutting off and we are without power. Reporting the troubles tothe director of operation were useless. Always just getting phony excuses, made up stories, blaming me for a not working system. Several conversations with Director of operation were unsuccessful, so I decided to contact owner of Estey which didn't help at all. Still got the same useless response as before.As solution Estey electric recommended a larger on demand generator to cover the No sun period on the solar panels and the sudden shut off of the system which they claim is normal.Estey electric not recommended
