If you want a hassel-free experience, CA Backyard is not it. We purchased an outdoor kitchen, to be custom built by their recommended contractor. We followed CA Backyard staff's recommendation on equipment (grill, cooktop, refridgerator, cabinets, etc.) The install went mostly smooth except for missing parts that I had to fight CA Backyard to deliver day of install rather than "get it done later" as the contractor suggested. We paid in full the day of install in mid-August '22 as required for install. It is now November '22 and the refridgerator is STILL not fixed into the unit so it tips when the door opens, dumping refridge contents onto patio. We have texted the CA Backyard sales rep and the contractor each 4+ times, I have stopped into the store and spoken with the Asst. Manager (Donovan), I have called the Manager (Kyle), and I get lots of promises but no follow through. Thus the issue is STILL NOT FIXED! They tell me the contractor is the only one who can fix it and yet the contractor has never had time, including missing a scheduled appointment to fix it. CA Backyard leadership also said they've been telling sales rep about the problem with that refridgerator but we were never told anything of the sort...would not have selected it had we known what the sales rep, Seth, knows. At my wits end listening to them defer responsibility!

We bought a BBQ island from the ********* store from ***** It was custom built. It arrived, and we are extremely pleased with it. We also had a small issue because it required 32" bar stools instead of the regular 30". But California Backyard worked with us to find 31" bar stools that work nicely. We are really happy about the entire process and recommend California Backyard.

Customer service is the worst ever. Gave the company multiple attempts to resolve my issue. What a joke. Review also on yelp - much more detail
