    This facility will absolutely not provide the disabled with *** accommodations. I attended a concert with my daughter, and emailed the facility two weeks prior to inquire about *** accommodations as recommended on the website. I was directed by email to seek out a ***** Services Rep, which I did. I explained my situation, which is that I have a disorder that requires me to wear a leg brace under my pants. I can walk short distances but cannot climb stairs or sit in a regular seat for long periods with my leg bent. I was referred from one Rep to another. I was offered a wheelchair ****** to my seating, but declined as the walk wasn't too far. Finally, I was directed to a ***** Services desk where I was flatly denied accommodations. I explained that I am disabled and require *** accommodations. Three ladies at the desk looked at me, asked me if I wanted a wheelchair and then said simple no, the venue was full and the show was sold out. I asked for ANY seating that would not require me to walk steps, sit with my knees bent or would require me to climb over other attendees. I would've sat ANYWHERE, even in a higher level with a bad view of the stage. Once seated, and even when the main event started, I saw countless folding chairs available in the handicap sections, and I took photos. I left the show in intense pain and could barely make it out of my seat. The disabled should never be treated the way that I was, dismissed. I will be filing a complaint with the state in hopes that it doesn't happen to others. Several calls and emails, and still no response. Shame on Golden 1 Center.

    We are very sorry to hear this guest had a negative experience. We make every effort to accommodate *** guests. First, it is recommended that any guest needing *** accommodations purchase *** seats. *** seating, both wheelchair accessible and limited mobility, are available to purchase in a variety of areas and price levels. Second, if a guest has not purchased appropriate *** seating and requests accommodation at the show, we do our best to accommodate. However, any relocation seats available on the day of the show are on a walk-up basis, first-come first-served. Onsite relocations are extremely limited and, in almost all cases, are depleted almost immediately after doors are open based on the volume of guests who do not purchase *** seating and request relocation. The guest did not specify which concert they attended, but when we have a sold-out concert there is virtually no ability to relocate guests due to the fact that all available seats are sold. While some areas may appear to be open it is not always the case that we can seat guests there, because available sections and seating at a concert is dictated by the show itself. So, while there may have been some areas that did not have guests in them they were most likely areas that we were not authorized to have guests based on the show requirements. In the future we will always suggest that guests needing *** seating purchase that type of seating at the time of the ticket purchase. They may purchase the type of seat they need online or in person at the **********. We will never be able to guarantee on site relocation, so it is critical to plan ahead and purchase the type of seat you actually need.
