Beware of Stout Construction and Remodel. *** Stout portrays his "company" to be a professional, competent and licensed contractor. THIS IS AN UNLICENSED COMPANY that is not professional, limited competence and leaves unfortunate clients with unfinished projects and poor quality. Additionally, *** Stout does not carry ANY insurance and has his "buddies" work on projects with him who are also uninsured placing all liability back onto the homeowner. After there was almost no more money to collect, *** Stout abandoned our project with 30% remaining to be finished. He constantly left live electrical wires exposed and hanging out of the wall. The first item he started in December was our pantry and barn door. That was left unfinished when he gave yet another lie in early April, the last time we heard from him.
