I received a FitBit Flex 2 for Christmas, 2024, which would not update straight out of the box. I contacted support (multiple support people) who instructed me all the ways to attempt to reset it, reset the app, update my phone, etc. I work in software development - I am not your typical technology user. No attempt would get it to work. Then I negotiated with support to send it back to the warehouse. I was supposed to receive instructions for how to send it back, and never got them. I had to contact support AGAIN to ask how to send it back. I am pretty sure I was told wrong, - because later on I was asked for the such-and-such form for the return - which I never received. I have every conversation with support saved. I have talked to probably a dozen people at this point. At that point - they had my device in their warehouse, and knew they had it in their possession, but no one did ANYTHING for MONTHS to remedy the situation. I would have accepted a refund, a refurbished device - but no one contacted me. (And no, I wasn't missing emails in my spam folder). Finally, FINALLY after like TEN MONTHS, I got a support person who was actually taking some personal responsibility for the situation. I was told I would get a replacement and that it was being processed and would get an email in ***** hours with shipping information. That never came. I contacted again saying - what happened to the replacement. Now they want proof of the original purchase, which I understand, but it is simply LAUGHABLE that I'm being drug through this ELEVEN MONTHS later. I am irate at this point. The support staff are following scripts for how to handle issues, I get that, this is not on any one individual person. But this entire COMPANY as a whole has a DISMAL, INCOMPETENT, INADEQUATE system for handling customer issues. Do NOT get a **********************. Or if you do, pray that it works for you out of the box. If I could give 0 stars, I would.Review from Joi S

I have owned 6 different Fitbit devices since 2011. None of them last longer than 2 years. My last Fitbit sense all the sudden just stopped working and was doing the loading screen and finally just totally shut off. Several other people in their blog post community are also having the same problem. They stated my Sense was out of warranty and all they did was offer a coupon code . Seems like they pushed an update out and killed a bunch of the sense watches at the same time now that they are ******.Review from Hannah M

My experience has been terrible with this company since shortly after I purchased my versa 4. I purchased the watch in late April and started having issues with it within a month. It would do strange things randomly that I couldn't figure out. Then it started prompting me in the middle of a run, asking if I wanted to end the exercise. On top of that, it kept telling me my running pace was changing by a 10 minute difference every minute or two. I called 3 times and each time they had me do something to the watch on my end like "forgetting" it and re-connecting and then a hard reset. None of which worked. Then it quit tracking the distance and pace of my walks. Called again, was told like others that then knew of the issue and were working to resolve it. I said okay that's great but you still haven't addressed the initial issues. Long story a little shorter, I am still getting the run around and have been told that it has been escalated twice.....doubtful. Spending this kind of money on myself was a big deal and was a treat. Now it was wasted. It is shameful that a company is willing to treat customers like this.Review from Doris H

Horrible company they do not stand by their products. II've owned the Charge 5 for 2.5 years ago of a sudden the battery no longer holds a charge. This wasn't gradual but overnight. No offer to repair or replace but offered a 35% off coupon for a future purchase, why would I spend more money for another inferior product. I originally had an Alta that atleast lasted 4 years, and had the same offer I should of learned from the first time and I'm not the only person this has happened to.Review from Doris H

Don't buy from fitbit they don't stand… Don't buy from fitbit they don't stand by their products! My first Alta died within 4 years of owning and stupidly I made the mistake of buying the Charge 5, this one only lasted 2.5 years. No offer for repair or replacement but offered a 35% off coupon. I guess that's better than nothing but why would i keep repeating the same mistake. Horrible product and company!Review from Kara M

If I could give Fitbit no stars I would. Ever since buying this it never works. It doesnt give accurate times for excercise and customer service literally said we know but arent going to do anything you should buy a stopwatch. It now wont count mileage jogged. **************** was no help. Also their app goes down a lot and youre constantly having to restart it and redownload the app.Review from Leah U

I purchase a fitbit Versa 2, it stopped working, I contacted the company in order to find out if the product was still under warranty. I was in shock on the procedure they have in order to verify the account. You must have a Goggle e-mail account in order for them to see the account. Even though I used my Hot mail account under the registration with the company. I had to open a Goggle account in order to have the information confirmed and they were not able to verify. This is INSANE what if a person does not have access to a computer (elderly person) they will never provide them with the due warranty? THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD. STAY AWAY..Review from Rubi C

I sent them my fitbit on January 2023 due to a recall. They said I would get a refund within 3 weeks and here we are almost 2 year later with no refund. I've called them numerous times and they keep saying they will escalate my case but nothing happens. They took my money for the watch, then the watch. I purchased the limited edition Luxe watch Match 2023 and screen was not working but giving time After calling Fitbit and speaking to them idk what they did now its just a white screen and then they said ok so its broke. Go buy another one. I called and called but no one is helping after spending CA$300 am being told this watch is done and go buy another in less then 18 months. I cant get the head offices number or anyone with sense to tell me how come the screen is now all whiteReview from Scott B

Fitbit watches are the lowest in quality.The watch will only work for 2 years and then malfunction.You can call customer service , and they put you on hold for fifteen minutes and then come back to the line and tell you that they will call you back. This never happens.I was told by the last agent, that the watch only has a warranty for one year. This tells me that they know that they are selling a $250 piece of garbage.Other watch manufacturers that sell similar watches have longer warranties. This is the second and last time this will happen to me. My next watch will be an Apple.Do buy Fitbit garbage watches.
