            Unfortunately my experience was crippled by the secrecy of the charges on my credit card. When I was offered the screen to sign for my order there were hidden charges. I discovered this later, when I received my receipt via email. They do NOT expose the itemized bill before you sign nor do they offer a hard copy receipt. During the ordering process the customer is not exposed to the charges, at anytime. It's a honor system that the cashier is only charging you for what you ordered BUT.... They're slipping in other charges without your knowledge. They charge extra for certain cups without telling the customers. They also charge employee benefits which is NOT a tip as well. If you try to complain about the extra charges they will swiftly refuse your complaint. Ok! Keep your .25 and .75 employee fee and I will go to another coffee stop next time. TY

            Hi Mister Adams,
            Our receipts are itemized on the first screen before the total and we do offer hard copy receipts upon request as well as emailed receipts or txt. The 25-cent cup charge is a city-wide ordinance in all of Santa Cruz that we have to charge for all to-go cups and we do not have a say in this matter. As for the employee benefits charge, it is at the bottom of all menus and allows us to offer real benefits to our employees including PTO and a 401K match. I'm sorry for the experience you had however and hope you can give us another shot in the future.

            Interesting. That response doesn't describe my experience at all. I did get a receipt on my phone because I requested it. I didn't look at it asap. When I did look at it, that's when I discovered the added fees. You are the only coffee place that adds .25$ for a Togo cup. Maybe like I mentioned before you should tell customers before they purchase a drink that there's extra charges. 🤔 it's not the cost it's the way you do business. It's rude.
