This company created a highly unsafe situation by putting wheels on my vehicle incorrectly multiple times and refusing to fix the problem. I drive a large dual wheeled vehicle and the rear wheels were assembled with the outside wheel on the inside and the inside wheel on the outside. This caused the inside tire sidewall to rub against the leaf spring bracket, which would have been subject to catastrophic tire failure at high speed. I detected this issue after they had driven the vehicle around their parking lot and requested that it be fixed. The vehicle was then returned to me with a large spacer added to the hub which prevented the lug nuts from being properly engaged. I accepted the vehicle at this time due to their urgency to leave, and parked the vehicle just outside their shop. In the morning, I requested that the vehicle be made safe to drive, by putting the old tires back on, which were the exact same size. They refused and threatened to tow my vehicle if I didn't remove it from their property. I brought the vehicle to a neighboring company just down the road that does tires and auto mechanics, who I was told not to trust by friends, ironically, and they immediately identified and fixed the problem. I want to reiterate that Stone's Country Tire, a company that specializes in tires, failed to safely install tires on my vehicle. The situation was unprofessionally addressed at 3 levels. First was the initial situation where a rudimentary but dangerous issue was undetected by the company due to poor craftmanship. Second was the situation where a solution was provided that created a new unsafe situation. Third was the refusal to fix the unsafe situation and the refusal to assist with a temporary countermeasure.
