    I had a recent service appointment for a bad oxygen sensor. Prior to making the appointment, my wife had spoken to both sales and service in the 12+ months prior letting them know that the emissions light was coming on and off. Each time, McDonald Volvo dealer told my wife it was nothing to worry about and to ignore it. We purchased our 2019 CPO XC90 directly off the showroom floor during the pandemic.I did not believe what McDonald Volvo dealer was telling my wife, and so I took the car to my own mechanic. A diagnostics test was run, resulting in several error codes related to a bad oxygen sensor. The 2019 XC90 oxygen sensor is a known issue repairable under Volvo warranty. At no point in the 12+ months did sales or service mention this. Nor did they acknowledge that it would result in a failed emissions test preventing license plate renewal. I attempted to schedule a service appointment and called this location 5 days in a row, leaving voicemails and emails. When I mentioned this to the Service Manager (****) he stated that "they don't monitor emails for voicemails". He then challenged me and asked to see my emails. I explained I had completed form submits via the website and he should have them - which he denied. (I also have emails if Volvo corporate or this dealership's GM would like to see them at any point). The Service quote was nearly $2,000.The Service Manager (****) then proceeded to call me a liar in front of my wife. The sheer disrespect was astonishing.I kept cool about it, knowing that cooler heads prevail. It was at that point that the Service Concierge rushed into the Service Manager's (****) office and stating that he had made a mistake, should have put forth the effort to research the issue, and that the oxygen sensor is a known issue and that it would be covered under Volvo warranty. At no point did the Service Manager try to offer an apology to me or my wife. In fact, he pivoted and tried to sell me a warranty plan.
