Sand Road WHY IS MY POST NOT PUBLIC…you don’t want people to know the truth? Please, please check BBB site for this vet so you don’t take your pet here. Horrible!!! Has been our vet for 6 years. 6/7/23 My dog is having pain in his back leg. Paid $190 for 1st visit. Did nothing for my dog that day. They scheduled appointment for me 6/9/23 to come back in two days to take X-rays. Brought my dog in at 8:00am, was told they would call me around noon to pick him up. 5:00pm and still no call. I drive they’re only to sit in their waiting room for another half hour listening to my poor dog crying from a cage in a back room. When I dropped him off I could hear him barking like crazy. He doesn’t like being left locked in a cage. 6:00pm my poor boy has been locked in a cage for 9 plus hours. The bill for the day $823.50. Facility care fee “**”charged me $218 for meds I can purchase on my own for $59.15. My poor boy is laying here next to me still in pain $1,013.50 in three days. I tried my best to get help. They do not truly care for our pets, they only care about the $.Initial Complaint

I am sorely disturbed by the disrespectful treatment I received from the Pet Resort staff and the lack of customer service given to my pet or myself by Sand Road Animal Hospital, LLC from the period of 07/27/22-08/15/22. 08/15/22, I received a phone call from Stacey the Pet Resort Manager right before my credit card was charged for $810.76 including the $326.00 Pet Resort services and additional hospital fees. I expressed my dismay and disappointment to Stacey during our conversation today before she did this. She argued with me over the phone by denying what I was told by her staff members had occurred with the feeding of my pet. This conversation with Stacey almost did not occur because of Stacey’s flippant, disrespectful tone and her raising her voice at me during the first couple minutes of the conversation. I respectfully explained to Stacey that I did not believe it was fair for me to be charged Pet Resort Services fees because my pet was treated inappropriately during a illness that she contracted there due to the negligent feeding habits of her staff members. We agreed to disagree regarding this but soon after the conversation ended, Stacey unauthorizedly charged my credit card. This is fraudulent. Finally, Stacey admitted in our conversation that the Pet Resort does not have a policy of providing care to sick pets. She indicated “we don’t really do that” but now she believes she should garner a windfall of $326.00 for eight days when my pet's care was not appropriate while she was at the Pet Resort. Michelle at the Animal Hospital agreed that my pet should have no further contact with the Pet Resort staff when I initially complained presumably because they were making her sickness worse. I have been a loyal and dependable customer of Sand Road Animal Hospital, LLC for many years and so has my mother. However, this was an egregious manner in which to handle ******* care and I am disputing all of the charges that were placed today.
