            In December 2021, BBB contacted EB Carports & Metal Structures regarding its advertising.

            Connecticut state law requires that every contractor include his/her Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) Registration number on all advertising in all media, including business documents, social media, etc.  BBB suggested that the business add its HIC# to its websites and all of its advertising to become compliant with Connecticut State Law, but did not receive a reply.

            Un-Finished work from order. Front gable ordered and paid for and Never Installed. EB Carports acknowledged work not completed on 05/03. Five attempts have been made to get this work completed. Five responses received indicating it would be done by specific dates.

            Showed up at noon on Friday instead of between 7-10. Once unloaded didn’t have 3 hrs of daylight to start. Came back Saturday and worked hurriedly saying that they had to get back because his wife wanted him back. Also kept saying these take 2-3 days to put up. Left about 5 lbs of screws strewn all over the area and beyond after being told how important it was to pick them up because of trucks with expensive tires and plowing going on. Had to spend 6 hrs picking up screws and putting screws in where they were left out—mainly in the studs and ridge cap. Asked to be credited $350.00 for our time and were refused. Avoid a hassle and go elsewhere.
