Joe E******* planted six trees that his contract said were under warranty for one year. Four of the trees died. He gave us another contract to replace the trees under warranty and cashed our check. He then wanted additional funds to replace the trees before he would do the work giving all kinds of excuses. We found that unreasonable and refused. His reasoning was that the price had gone up, When I called the nursery it was for the price of replacement trees. He was trying to charge us for the trees under warranty! He became belligerent, did not replace the trees and would not return our money. Found out he has been convicted of larceny for taking money and not delivering trees. We eventually found most of what he told us to be fabricated.

***** ***** has misrepresented the facts in this matter. Here are the facts. She was put in contact with one of the wholesale nurseries that Exteriorscapes uses year after year. As a result, she was able to buy trees that retail for $2200 for $1250. When I picked up her trees, I was given a receipt to give to her from the wholesale nursery in *** **** ****** Stapled to her receipt was a copy of her ******** ******* card receipt. She did not buy any trees from Exteriorscapes. When it came time to plant the trees, it was November. The trees were 20 feet tall. She was told by myself, my licensed arborist on staff, my foreman with 35 years of experience and the staff at the nursery to plant these trees without unwrapping the root balls without untying the root balls, and without cutting the wire baskets off the tree, she insisted that ****** was right and everybody else was wrong and demanded  the trees be planted with the root balls untied and the baskets folded down 50% of the way. I warned her that doing this with November winds would cause the root balls to separate as the tree rocks back-and-forth on windy days, and this could ultimately kill the tree. She did not care. ****** was right, and everybody else was wrong. She called me in February to tell me that one of the trees had fallen over. I was not surprised. I told her I would look into getting her replacement trees. The wholesale nurseries did not have trees that big when spring rolled around. These trees were Norway spruce that were very hard to get due to the slow growth rate, and the demand during Covid for these trees.. I was able to find her replacement trees at a retail nursery for $2200 each. So she paid $1250 each and replacements were $2200 each a difference of. $1000 a tree and there were four trees to replace. I did not ask ***** for $4000 extra. However I made a deal with the retailer and could give her all four trees brand new for an additional $1600 total this was not good enough for her and she expected Exteriorscapes to eat $9000 And replace her trees when she never purchased them from us in the first place . She was being completely unreasonable, expecting the company that simply planted the trees to eat almost $10,000 when she didn’t buy the trees from us due to her post things on social media. We are now in the process of suing ***** ******. There is a reason why Exteriorscapes has nothing but a five star reviews from its customers over the last 15 years and only one negative review from one unreasonable customer. We install close to 1000 trees a year once in a while, one or two will die, and if they were purchased from us we replace them immediately. ***** ***** *s simply angry that ****** lied to her and her trees died as a result.
