I started working at Corteva the beginning of this week and had second doubts about the job on my first group interview with Plants manager Chris Robert’s. Our very first encounter I could tell he wasn’t fond of me the way he looked at me during the process of the group interview. During the presentation he was giving us about the job, planting seeds and what to looking for in order to know if the seed is germinating correctly, I myself was asking a lot of informative questions and from the way he was looking at me I knew he was pleased. I asked him what are we looking for on the plant to know that it’s abnormal? His responses to me was “ I’ll answer the question if you let me get to it!” like real snappy !! I was appalled but I didn’t say anything because I wasn’t for sure so I carry on with the remainder work day but felt some type away. During the meet and greet we were told that we would be paired off with a different partner everyday so. We can learn to work together, meet one another and he also gave us his Work phone number to get in contact with him just in case we have any questions and we ended our session. 35 minutes later I called Mr.Chris Robert’s to ask him what time should I return to work the next day but he never answered, he called back I missed his call, I called him back presented myself in the most respectful way and asked did someone call me because I have a miss call from this number due to me not knowing his number on hand because I just got it and he replied back Yeah( sarcastically) I have a miss call from this number as well and hung up the phone on me! I tried calling back several times and he didn’t answer so I texted and once again followed protocol “Hi Chris, this is Nina Mays I’m calling to get this weeks work schedule.?.”and he texted back 7am Just like that nothing else just rude so I knew from that point he didn’t like me The next day I came I always was jolly asking question but yet I wasn’t involved in the interaction with the
