Gave a deposit of ***** for new roof. November of 2022. Never heard anything back for several months. To keep a long story short 6 months later MTS called back saying the person who I gave the deposit to was fired from the company allegedly for embezzlement . I asked for refund. They said ok. In the meantime the wrong metal was delivered to my house. They took it back. The metal supplier then placed a lien on my property. I hired an attorney and got the lien discharged. Kept asking for my refund back. Two months ago I get a check but it is not signed and I am not able to deposit it. ***** says 'they are working through a lot of difficult issues'. I am still out *****.00 and have an attorney to pursue it. I got a new roof from a different company.

Hired MTS construction after Hurricane ***. Paid deposit on 11/2/23. Was promised a ***** week completion timeline. Despite numerous calls. Dry in was not completed until May 2023. Metal delivered in May 2023. Following dry in our kitchen vent and dryer vent leaked. As of today, 10/7/23 we do not have a completed roof, metal remains unfinished, attempts to contact MTS have resulted in written and verbal promises to complete our work, but no one has come, and no dates to complete our roof have been provided. At this time, our roofing permit expires in November 2023, and our underlayment that remains exposed to the elements is out of its exposed warranty period on 11/7/23. In addition, MTS has installed our metal improperly in numerous areas, including using pieces of metal instead of full sheets, not folding the edge of each metal panel over the drip edge, and not sealing the metal around our vents. They have also damaged the siding on our home during installation. We would like a refund of payments made to MTS, as we will need to hire a different contractor to complete and repair their work.

We contracted with MTS Construction on 11/9/22 for a new metal roof on our ********, ** home (**************************************************************, after Hurricane *** removed most of our shingles. On that day we paid 1/3 the total estimated cost of $30,400.00. They told us it would be 2-3 months to completion. After many calls from us checking on our status, they removed our tarps and the remaining damaged roof and installed the water barrier on 1/11/23, and claimed our second 1/3 payment. They then promised three different times that the metal was coming and it never arrived. Finally on 6/21/23 they installed our metal roof. Before the workers were done they demanded payment of the last 1/3 of the cost. When they completed the job on 6/26/23 we made our final payment. We now have a lien on our home because MTS never paid their metal supplier, *************, for the materials. We may be forced to pay ************* approximately $8000 for the metal, on top of the bill we paid MTS.I have detailed notes of this situation which I will share if you need them.

March 12th I gave MTS Construction Inc. $800 to start repair on my roof. They told me work would begin in 2 weeks from that time. They never showed up in all this time. I have asked for my money back and was told that a check would be in the mail and I've never received the check and since then they have blocked my number. I feel that I have been robbed and hope that you could please get to the bottom of this and get me my $800 back as they have given me zero service. Thank you very much

I gave a deposit in November 2022, Dry in was done in January and material didn't show up until May. Delay after delay. Horrible communication. My wife finally got **** to call her back once and he had no idea what he was talking about. Poor workmanship, the drip edge was installed incorrectly. Finally got done in August and found out they never paid for the material. I now have a LIEN AGAINST MY HOME and have to hire an attorney.

Due to space limitations this is an abbreviated version. The long version attached with important details. In every critical aspect of basic contractor performance MTS has performed shockingly poor. I have dozens of examples but only provide the two most egregious ones below. First we were told to expect completion in about six weeks following underlayment. 24 weeks later the job is not done. The underlayment will exceed its 180 day exposure limitations and warranties in nine days. This puts the integrity of our roof and the protection of our property in jeopardy. We attempted on five occasions to gain confirmation of their ability complete our roof before this deadline and no one was able or willing to provide confirmation. On each interaction MTS committed to researching the issue and calling us with an update. They never called. On the advice of an attorney we submitted a formal demand letter and have not heard from them. During the first heavy rain following MTS’s installation of new underlayment their work failed and caused leaks into our attic space and home. We reported the leaks and MTS applied roof patch to the leaks. We viewed the repairs as temporary and below contract standards so we asked our project manager to meet and assess our concerns. When he arrived I asked that he join me on the roof so I could show him my concerns and he refused, telling me to send him pictures. Soon after the roof patch failed. To attempt to gain support we visited the MTS office and asked to meet with the owner. We were told he was too busy and “would be on the phone for hours.” Another manager committed to sending someone in the next two days. We waited for two days, never leaving the home. Late on day two we called that same manager who again committed that someone would come before the day was over. No one EVER showed up and no one ever called. At this point we gave up, purchased roof repair materials and repaired the failed patches and new leaks.

On April 11th we had a roof installed by them. Although the roof "passes inspection" as they stated the shingles were not installed per manufacturer specifications and if i were to try to have a warranty claim or insurance claim on this roof they could simply say sorry your not covered because the shingles were installed incorrectly. We paid 11k$ and still owed them 5500$ upon completion. They claim that because it passed inspection that the job is complete per their standards of "quality workmanship," and that they are supposed to provide supervision during their install per their contract which they clearly did not have. At this point in time they pushed us to try and pay final payment. At this point in time i told them if they come back and finish the job correctly then i would pay in full the final draw and instead they decided to add a 4200$ late fee which is not part of our contract and also they attempted to post a constructionlien on our property. On multiple sides of the shingle roof they installed the shingles with incorrect spacing and by doing this making it possible for high winds to get to under shingles and be able to tear these shingles off. On the shingles there is lines that are very visible where the bottom of the shingle is to be installed and a line the is above this showing that the shingle is not to be nailed above that line to avoid leaks. There is also a tar strip that is designed and engineered to stick to between these lines in the flat part of the shingle instead of the 3d part of the shingle which has granules on it and these do not allow the tar strip to properly adhere to the shingle below it. These shingles need to be spaces properly in order to be warrantied by the manufacturer incase of failure so they can offer their warranty. If they repair this issue they would have had to also replace underlayment as this has now got holes all over it from the previously installed shingles and is compromised.

Contract was signed on 2/25/2023 & a deposit of $6100 was paid to replace the roof.I told the salesman Jason I need it before the rainy season. It wasn’t till 6/21/2023 that the tear out was done & I paid the 2nd installment of $6100.on 7/19/23 it rained & roof leaked in 3 places. I call office but it was closed so texted Jason & the next 2 workers came out to fix the leaks. On 7/26 it rained & roof leaked again & I texted Jason sent video of rain coming in the house. . Nobody came out the next day or answer phone calls . Through this they had told me my roof shingles were going to be put on 7/28/23. No roof shingles in sight & on 7/29 it rained & water is still coming in my house. I have texted Jason but so far no answer. I need roof finished & ceiling inspected & repaired if need be. Like I said before they don’t answer phone calls to say they are working on the issue. No communication!!!!
