Negative five stars! Several years ago, I financed a used Equinox with ******** Financial, with an extended warranty through the dealership [name withheld]. After 18 months the vehicle engine failed due to bad rings. When I contacted the warranty company, I was informed that the warranty was never paid for by ******** (even thought they received it in full from the dealership). This began a two year battle where ******** told me in writing they would take the vehicle back and not hold me accountable for any remaining debt (because they knew they screwed up). Nearly a year after this, their attorney contacted me and wanted to come after me for the remaining debt. Even with the documentation in their faces, they stuck their fingers in their ears and pretended their own documentation did not exist. As the amount I owed was less than what it would cost me in attorney fees to fight them, I opted to let them garnish me until it was paid. Now, after about 18 months of them taking their garnishment a little at a time, the checks sent to the address ******** put in the garnishment are being returned to sender. I have tried every method to contact them and their attorney, yet no response. One hot mess after another and cover lies are ***. Companies like this one do whatever they can get away with. No one works their very long, so they always have the "they don't work here anymore" defense ready when called out for anything. They need to be chased out of town, so to speak!Review from Romero D

Purchased a vehicle in November 2016, after financing it was $13,800 and $1,700 down payment. I had the vehicle for 2.5 yrs paying $455 a month, never missed a payment until December of 2018 because we were disputing the faulty warranty they had me purchase for $8500 but only covets $5,000 . I totalled lost the car in Feb 2019. Insurance, cap insurance paid off the car and settled everything in court in Atlanta. Now I'm getting a letter saying they sold my loan and got my credit messed up saying I had a repossession, how, I financed the car for 36 months, had it for 27 months and didn't make a payment for 3 mths, I payed $10,900 not including the down payment so how do I owe them $7535,00 plus my insurance company payed for the car being totalled. This company is a scam and needs to be shut downReview from Bry S

This company has done the exact same thing to me as they have to all the other people in these reviews. AWFUL customer service. Now I'm nervous I can't even get my title since they sold my account to Westlake Management. Westlake Management has also been awful to work with. Has not returned ONE email or phone call. Been waiting for a settlement as my car is non-functioning. Was told that I could do so, and then called back and was told by someone else that "they don't do that". They aim for lower class citizens so they can charge an insane amount in interest with no backlash. Save yourself and find a better financing company to work with.Review from Maggie W

Terrible company. Sold my account to Westlake Portfolio. I paid my loan off and now I can't get my title because Nicholas financial is the link holder and they didn't provide the information Westlake. So now I other fight for my title or have to go to the DMV to pay out of pocket for a new title. Worst customer service ever from both companiesReview from Rish W

I cancelled my extended warranty in I believe March of 2022 or May. Filled out the paper work, was told I would have the cost put towards my loan. I did all the paper work, called, emailed got told the office manager would called back.. no one ever called, the money was NEVER returned to me or my account and then they SOLD my account to another company without ever fixing the issue. Horrid company avoid them.Review from Deontay S

If you live in Michigan, this company is the closest thing to a scam. They have a clause buried in the 50 forms of paperwork so you never see it. You have to a ridiculously expensive insurance policy, and if you live in Michigan you already know how expensive it is. You don't have a choice as they will deduct an amount for insurance which doesn't cover you at all so now you have to pay for your own incompetent insurance (according to them) as well as pay their insurance charge that automatically added to your monthly payment. Not to mention the terrible customer service. I completely regret using this company. I thought I gained an opportunity to rebuild my credit, but with this company I am strongly considering to just default on this loan. Nobody would ever choose this company willingly. Worst than the snakes at credit acceptance.Review from Arianna R

I got a car from them this year. From the very beginning they lied to me about what my payments were. Every month they told me something different. I missed one payment being a single mom with 6 children and they harassed me over the phone constantly! Not only over the Phone but they sent someone from the office to my door and she had me blocked in my house until my dad made a payment for me over the phone because she wouldnt leave. I made arrangements to make my last payment and in the middle of the night they came and took my car. I called to find out why it was gone and how to get it back. They told me they wont give it back until the whole loan is paid in full. NEVER USE THEM FOR ANYTHING. They are THE ABSOLUTE WORST.Review from Karen B

I whole heartily agreed with all posted reviews. My pymt is due on 9th of month. I don't always get pd on 9th but the next pay date after 9th if I can I make my pymnt. Sam will call text email until it's made. In over a yr I've never missed a pymt. One tie I work 2 jobs am single parent. This past June u was only able ro pay interest but every other mo pymt in full. This past June Julie called I said my job hadn't pd me yet she asks can't I borrow from stone said no. Told her I had to take my autistic child to dentist Julie replied and your child is riding in car u owe on. The nerve. They don't realize is consumers like us is why they have a job. I was going to make my july pymt on 22nd but am going to push it to 29th so I can pay my other car get it caught u and buy groceries for my famiagain. Othet var loan is much nocer if your late they srnd ltr dont dont harrass u like nicolad. This company is on same level as mafia loan aharks. One loan pd off will never use aharkes. If I could give negative review I would.Review from Tracy L

My son has a loan with the company. A guy name Sam calls me every month despite that I am not on my son's loan. He also calls my father's number looking for him every other month. I have warned Sam many times to stop calling me because my son is GROWN and I have my own debt to deal with. I have repeatedly asked him to STOP calling my phone but he continues to call and he call my dad too.
