I got 5 bids on my whole house renovation, Mr. Craftsman came in the most expensive. We chose Mr. Craftsman because of his convincing sales pitch, his exact words were he was more expensive than everybody else, he does high-quality work and any little extras he won't charge, he said he won't Nickle and Dime us. At the end of his sales pitch, he said he does not ask for money upfront. We chose him based on what he said. It turned out that every chance he got to Nickle and Dime us he did, the only part of that conversation that was true was he did not ask for money upfront. Certain aspects of the renovation were subpar to mediocre at best. They painted over dust particles, there are patches they repaired that they painted over without wiping clean. The painters also epoxied the garage floor, the attempt they made was atrocious, it had to be redone by someone else. You can see the cement missing in spots under the floor tile by the door. The finishes to the Custom Built Bbq Island are nonexistent. I had them install a new electric panel, I handed them a whole house surge protector to install and after the panel was put in I was told there was no room. The Panel they put in was too small for the size of the house. I had electrical breakers trip constantly so I hired an Electrician to redo the panel at an extra cost of $2280. The list of things goes on and on about what he did wrong and his arrogance was unbelievable The communication between us was absolutely terrible, he told us he does not have a degree in communication. I have hired many contractors over the years and this has been the worst experience. I got to know some of his subcontractors' from working on my house and from emails and phone calls. What disturbs me the most and I find it very unethical when he gives himself a FIVE STAR REVIEW and a couple of his subcontractors write 5 STAR REVIEWS on his google webpage. If I had known this at the beginning I wouldn't have hired him.

CONSUMER BEWARE!

Mr-Craftsman (Kevin W, Owner) proposed a 4-week kitchen remodel and 8 months after the project started, Mr-Craftsman had still not finished their original scope of work. In addition to the open contract work, there were numerous items, not of quality work, that needed to be corrected (unevenly installed wall & floor tile, cracking grout, stove hood loose, no cleaning, etc.) To this day, we keep finding more low-quality work.

After many attempts to get Mr-Craftsman to complete their work, and after Kevin W telling us to "keep our money and have a nice life" on 3 different occasions (communication was never good), the project was considered abandoned. At this point we had paid out more than $28k in labor & materials, with $3k left to pay on the original contract. Our intention was to now hire an alternate contractor to complete Mr-Craftsman's unfinished scope and make repairs/corrections to the sub-par work after the Holidays. Please know, $3k would not even cover the cost to complete the scope much less touch the cost of making repairs.

Much to our surprise, we were served with a Small Claims filing in January 2021 for the $3k balance from Mr-Craftsman/Kevin W, even though the original scope was incomplete & the final punch work untouched. In the mandatory mediation, we offered Kevin W to walk away and we would complete the remaining scope & punch work with no further compensation paid to him. Kevin W refused, and we were ordered to go to trial.

We then made the decision to hire a lawyer to represent us in court and subsequently filed a counter claim to complete the contract and correct the sub-par tile work with an alternate contractor. The judge ruled in our favor and Mr-Craftsman had to pay US to complete his work. Within 15 minutes of the judgement, Mr. W****** sent me a text, telling me I was "a piece of **** and to go **** myself."

We would STRONGLY suggest avoiding business with Mr-Craftsman and/or Kevin W.
