Beware of New World Plumbing Land O Lakes. the owner, who is a plumber and plumbing contractor and team, replumb our home with Uponor in 2018. Questionable issues arose during this process. I knew the job was sloppy, but not being a plumber, what did I really know? Now, 5 yrs later I had a plumber come to our home to replace 2 outdoor spigots. He immediately noticed several issues with the Uponor installation that were improper, would void the warranty and would not pass any inspection (which the owner did not do saying we didn’t need it). 1) The back of the house faces south. The Uponor was placed on the exterior of the house from the holding tank to the roof in full exposure to all day sun. No covering at all to protect it. Also, the external spigots and main line entering the home were replaced w/ Uponor by New World Plumbing. These all had to be removed and replaced with copper as Uponor was not to be installed to external services. 2) Uponor was improperly connected directly to water heater. This is a no-no. Copper pipe installed between water heater and uponor. 3) The hose bib connected by ‘shark bite’ connectors understood to be a ‘weekend handyman’ fix. Something “no ‘professional’ would ever do”. Replaced at my cost. 4) No expansion tank or expansion device for main outdoor spigot was ever installed. One or the other is required for ‘proper installation’. Installed at my expense. All of the above issues would have void any and all warranty attached to the Uponor and would NOT pass an inspection. I have before and after photos to back up these offenses. I contacted the owner of NWP to see if he would at least give us “good faith assistance” in covering the over $2000.00 bill we incurred to bring this installation up to code. He refused stating he was "not going to pay for someone else to do work." and If I had a problem with his work I should have contacted him and he would look into it". But...you see, the problem IS your work. Consumer beware.
