      My name is Ronald Clemmons I rent a unit in middle road in Florence Alabama. Midguard does not care about their customers at all. I have been a customer for 3 yrs . Everytime I turn around they are charging me for 2 months at a time for the amount of $369.00 . I'm on auto pay have been for months but it seems like they only take out my auto pay when they want to and when they do they claim I owe $369.00 Now how in the world could I owe that . My unit ain't but $120 a month. Which is sky high . They raise my rent on my unit every few months. When I started 3yrs ago my rent wasn't but $39.99 a month. Now I pay $120 a month. 4 months ago They said I was 3 months behind on my rent and almost auctioned my stuff off without even telling me I was behind. They never sent me a letter nothing. I just happen to go to my unit to get some things and I couldn't get in it. That time it costed me $379.00 for 3months. When I was on auto pay . We made sure that they knew we were auto pay and asked them not to let us get behind again. And now 4 months later here I am again, That $369 all of it but the monthly rent $120 was my light bill money and I have kids . I don't know what I'm gonna do. They should treat their customers better and make sure their employees do their job .Espically customers that have been with them for years. The people working at my unit are rude and are charging me for things That don't exist . And now my lights are gonna be turned off . They told me they couldn't do anything about it and was so rude to me. I mean how do you treat your customers like this? I just don't understand. And just so they cant reply they need more information to talk to me. My name is Ronald Clemmons I rent a unit on middle road Florence Alabama.

      Deceptive business practice. I rented a very small space. And on the 4th mont, without notice, Midgard storage took 125% more out of my account than my contract amount. They did this twice. I have called and emailed. There is nothing I can do. They didn't honor their contract. I would NOT have rented this space for this incredibly high amount. It went from $45.37 to $101.17 without approval or notice. I'm just going to pay it and get my things out. I would worn other people, that this is a scam. They take advantage of you and then you can't get any one to help. This has wasted hours of my time trying to fix the situation. Very bad business. Very unethical. Very freedy. They have the ability and will take whatever amount they want. They will not follow your contact. So they may, more than double my payment again, that's what they told me in the office. I was told they never know when they will jack up the price. They told me there is nothing I can do about this, except to email billing They will also say they sent an email, when asked to resend it, they can't because I didn't get any notice. But they can sure reach you, if you are a day late! They want to charge an extra 20 dollars. You won't be able to talk to anyone or follow original contract. I went in to pay my contract amount, but they would not accept it as they said it would be a partial payment. So they added 20 dollars on top as a late payment. This has caused me unnecessary stress. And a huge waste of time and energy. I would just want to ??WARN ?? the next person, that this will/could happen to you too. I'm sorry I did business midgard storage. They must make bank by random rate increases, and 20 dollar late payments. Not to mention foreclosures on your property. And there's nothing you can do, having a contact is irrelevant. I hope you don't have to find out. Life is hard enough these days. I'm sick of greedy money grabbers. I miss the days of respect for the consumer.

      RUN, don't walk.!!!! This is the worst company ever!!! Just do a little research and you will find a pattern of SO MANY issues and complaints. The company is crooked and dishonest. It's also impossible to talk to anyone in person or by phone. I could go on and on about all the issues I had with them, but it would take to long and just further aggravate me. I finally had enough and left. I would never recommend them to anyone except an enemy. Please don't be fooled by the cleanliness of the property and the gate. Appearances are deceiving. A Very Dissatisfied Customer (to say the least)

      This is about the location specifically. When picking up our 2 12ft trailers to move out of state, my father was parking his vehicle, and I was inside getting the information on my rental. My father witnessed an individual moving the 12-foot trailer that I would be taking, at which point he scraped the side of my vehicle. While waiting to ensure that this was not previous damage to my truck, my father notified me of said instance, and I let him know that this was new damage. When we informed the location, my father was told he was seeing stuff, that the identical red paint on the trailer (same color as my truck) was not the paint from my truck, and then rudely told that we could do whatever we wanted. Still, they didn't do anything to the truck; we were scolded by the employee, telling us that he did not do anything, that their location insurance would be in touch with us, and that we were seeing previous damage. To top this off, the individual working on the trailer rental told me afterward that I would not be able to get a rental if my towing connection did not work. After about 15-20 minutes of him going back and forth with me, and me repeatedly asking him to replace the cable from the trailer to my truck, and him refusing and telling me that I would need to get a new towing connection or that the ground for the connection was terrible, we were magically able to get the lights to work with a new cable and then continued for an 800-mile trip without a single issue of the lights not working. I contacted U Haul, and they have been accommodating throughout the process at this location. However, I will tell everybody not to look at it because of the unprofessionalism, absolute rudeness, and lack of caring for others. We were their best friends, giving them money until we held them accountable for their employees' actions. I am still waiting to hear back from them about this and will follow up with whatever means are needed to ensure this is fixed promptly.

      I have been renting a storage unit since 08/22 and have paid every month, on April 12 I was surprisingly hospitalized for heart issues, unaware of this I end up having a emergency quadruple bypass (two main and two arterial ) . So after I am stabilized toward the end of the month , My wife contacts them informing this location of what has happened and that we will be possibly running a few days late but actually we paid on time by the first of the month as well as 6/1/2023 but by the 7th month my wife and I were starting to feel the effects of only one income . We managed to pay 07/2023 by the end of the month . To be aware , each payment was a month ahead . So now we owe for 08/2023 and 09/2023 which instead of owing for two months two months we owe and unremarkable amount of Three months , I explained that i was not working and waiting for my disability check on 10/2/2023 and would pay the two months but I was told that my bill will be $7**.** ++ and they would not take any partial payments, In fact that I had until 10/20/2023 and more Late fees, which at that time it would be slated for auction or could pay the full balance only once again stating they would not take partial payment. ONCE AGAIN i explained the emergency situation I had and I was asking for a little help in any way, Lo*** stated it was going up for auction on 10/20/2023... Please can anyone help with this business practices ? They have made it impossible for us to save what prize possessions are in the unit and feel like they are making it a habit to obtain customers possessions. Thank you

      Springfield location:All new staff, changes of rules and lockouts are on a whim. They don't follow their own policies and procedures. Lock people out of unit before bill is due so they can look good on their financial reports with no regard to legalities of their own contracts. Totally gone downhill since management changed.
