            On or about 12/16/2023 a local business owner stopped by one of my fire stations with a large magnet that appears to be produced by Fire Safety ***********. The business owner was inquiring to see if we had received these to the department as he was told by Fire Safety ***********. We advised him that we do not and will not ever partner with companies that produce these products. I am the Deputy Fire Marshal for the *************** Fire and EMS, I would be the person this company would have to speak with to get approval for fire safety materials. We get calls regularly from companies like this and the answer is always no to them. We do not believe this is an effective method of spreading a fire safety message. We work directly with our businesses that want to help with fire safety messaging in the communities we serve.
