Dear BBB Team
************** contracted BHS to ship her personal effects and car from PA ***** to Christiansted St. Croix USVI. We collected her personal effects on March 17th and the vehicle on March 19th. We loaded her container on March 22nd. We understood that it was a priority for her to be reunited with her belongings and in order to achieve this we loaded her shipment before we received payment, we where trying to meet her request. She paid on March 25th 2024. At this point the estimated arrival of the container to ********* was April 23rd. Which was within the agreed time frame. On March 26th while Ms. ******* container was in transit to seaport of export there was a great accident at the port of ********** This caused huge delays affecting shipments up and down the entire East Coast. All efforts where done to get her items sailing but the fall out from ********* delayed the arrival until May 7th. If you count from her pay date to arrival at destination it took 6 weeks, her estimated transit was 5 weeks. ************** has not "completed work" on her move I do not know what she means by this since we have a very capable destination agent handling her delivery. I have explained to her that she can speak with me about her shipment. Her and her partner get on the phone and scream for lengthy periods of time and are extremely unreasonable. She has asked to speak with management or an owner. I am both, but she refuses to accept this while continuing to badger and insult. The reason she has been without her Vehicle for "just shy of two months" is because it has been inside an ocean container not because anyone is holding it form her. It is understandable to be eager to receive the shipment but all efforts and allowances have been done to handle this shipment correctly.
