Greenstar Landscaping & Irrigation Response

Thank you for reaching out. It is unfortunate that this experience transpired this way.
From the moment I got to the property I made it clear that until the system was up and running, I would not be able to quote you on what it would take to get it fully functional and efficient. As mentioned to you in person and through emails, everything that I planned to do in phase 1 was laid out in the proposal that you accepted. There were no hidden charges and no fine print. I stated very clearly on multiple occasions that I only replace the pump with its accompanying components because there is just no way of knowing the condition of the existing ones. In fact, one of these components could have malfunctioned which caused the pump to burn out in the first place. You were also made aware that without replacing the pump properly, the warranty on the pump is void.
In reference to the timer (that I threw in from the start at no cost, to ensure that the timer was going to be a new, fully functional one), I mentioned that I would replace it for you with the same make and model as described in the proposal/contract. The timer that was installed free of charge is the same make/model that was listed on the proposal/contract. The two additional hours of work were for repairing multiple breaks in the main line, which could not have been detected prior to replacing the pump and getting the system up and running. (It also included replacing miscellaneous items that you kept asking the technician to replace/repair). The amount I was charging for that additional work ($200) was more than fair. There is just no way to know what lies ahead when the system wont turn on, which was communicated to you from the start.
Regarding where you say that I used offensive language, I take offense as I never use profanity and always speak professionally.
Regarding the overall cost, I quoted you between $2200 -$2500 and the final total came to $2400. Due to refusal of payment, I agreed to remove the charge for the break repairs and miscellaneous items, which kept the total cost of phase 1 at $2200.
In summary, we did exactly what was listed out in the proposal and even additional work and a new timer, which you received for free. It was made clear from the beginning that this was a 2-phase project as there is no way for me to quote repairs on a system that I cannot turn on. Thank you so much for the opportunity to be of service to you.
