If it were possible to give negative stars, I would!!!!!! Every thing quoted before my move was retracted on the day of the move when they thought we didn't have any option but to pay the exorbitant fee they were now quoting. I was quoted the move from ** to ** would have an estimated cost of $6542. I was precise in my inventory, had everything on an Excel spreadsheet. I was told they would be able to disassemble our pool table and reassemble it on arrival for an additional $300. That was a lie. The movers arrived on the day of the move, said my furniture was "larger" than other peoples. They said Gulfstream had underestimated packing materials by over $1000. They said their moving person didn't know how to reassemble a pool table so now I'm having to pay another $500 to a private pool table installer to get it back to its pre-move condition. Knowing we had a ***** square feet home with 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, they showed up with a medium sized truck and told me it would be an additional $12,000 to move us. We refused to pay additional which resulted in us having to rent a UHAUL and move what would not fit on the truck to 2 storage units. We worked most of the night to accomplish that because we were closing on the house the next morning and had to be completely moved out in 12 hours. We had to fly back to *********, rent a UHAUL, and drive it to **. The agent I had been dealing with was ghosting my calls. How does he sleep at night knowing he is knowingly scamming people? A woman, claiming to be a supervisor, took my call after I kept hitting redial and was snarky, rude and obnoxious. The only way I to hold them accountable is to tell about our bad experience. I had two friends ask for a recommendation for a moving company and I had recommended Gulfstream to them BEFORE our move and called them back and told them NOT to deal with *************************************************** because of their shady business practices. They are liars and scammers.
