I recently declined to renew my contract with Massey Landscape Services. In the year I was with them my yard looked the worst since I moved in 8 years ago. The promises they made were not fulfilled. The average service call was about ***** minutes long. I have a ****** square foot lot which takes that long just to cross. Every time we told the tech about weeds or dead spots he said we either over or under watered. Once he said that about a shrub despite the shrubs on either side were in great shape. He reluctantly treated it and it did better. Despite my request for notification before the calls because of my dogs the tech would show up with no notice. In August I looked out to see a stranger walking thru my backyard. When I asked who he was he said he was there to aerate the grass. I called the manager to complain about that and let him know why I wasnt renewing my contract in Oct. He tap danced me about everything, including why I never got the bi-monthly lawn analysis the contract call for. I received no service call in Sept at all. After the Hurricane I called the main office to find out why. I was told they would have the manager call me. About 2 weeks later he called and tried to tell me that I had canceled the contract. I reminded him of out earlier conversation and asked why I would cancel with one month left. I told him I wanted a service call or a refund for the last month payment. He promised the tech would be out the next day. A week later, having not seen the tech, I emailed the companies ****** website about the issue. The response was they were sending my complaint to the manager who had already blown me off. Never heard from him. So as of now I havent seen a refund. I found this whole episode a sad example of customer ********************** by ***** and would never recommend them to anyone.Massey Services, Inc. Response

I paid for one year upfront. At the end of year I called them and ask them if they can reduce the price. They said we could give you 5% off. I replied no thanks. I will find another contractor. Three months later, they came by and sprayed my yard without my consent. They sent me a bill for $95 for the application they did without my permission. I called him up and told him I will not be making this payment. I do not have a contract with you and young lady on the other end of the phone said, roll over our contracts . I said not without my consent and the story I thought now they sent it to a collection agency. What a first class outfit. Plus, they couldnt get rid of a weed if a steering right in their face. I have been a MASSEY customer for at least 20 years. I have them for the lawn, inside and termite control. Have been pleased with the service until this year. At least three of my neighbors that I personally know have stopped the lawn care.I'm close to doing that also.Last year I spent some hundreds of dollars to have a special treatment done to the lawn. It looked fine until this year. The tech does come and spray and listen to my tale of woe, but it seems that since Mr. ******************** has died, the service has also died.Either the gov't has restricted what chemicals cloud be put down , the ******************** powers to be have started to skimp on what is put down,OR as I recently read, St. ********* grass (like everything that grows ) has a life span and it's time for a new lawn..I wish I knew the answer.Massey Services, Inc. This company just collect money. They never call when they do service never proof paper.Finaly, they did service like they said never was done and I had a withdraw balance Never ever use this service again. I used Massey pest control for about a year and Im completely disappointed with their service. I called them and asked to cancel my service the agent scheduled a call with their service manager. I spoke with her and repeated same thing, she said the service will be cancelled. I called them again to make sure the service is cancelled, they said yes the service is cancelled. After the service is cancelled one day their representative came and performed the quarterly service when we were out of country with no network access. When I came back I called them and enquired about that, they were like we will waive off but I asked them why did he came to my place when I cancelled the service. The manager was so rude that when I asked this question she was like what is your problem when we are waiving off and she was like we need an email for cancellation request, I have asked her why didnt anyone from Massey told me that I have to send an email for cancellation, and I asked why your representative told me service is cancelled when enquired received no response to this . i would probably give them zero stars if allowed for their behaviour.Massey Services, Inc. I had to cancel the lawn service with Massey after 15 years of service. They were doing well before but lately my grass never get green, and ***** spots. I called many time to complain, manager came to inspected the yard, not irrigation problem, he said because lack of chemical, nothing they he can do, because the government's rule, not allow to use as much of that chemical . I forget what is the name of chemical he said. Plus, I dont have a good lawn technician, the last time he stated that he did perform the service at around such time and do what such of fertilize and sent me the invoice. That morning I was outside working on flower bed and gardening, did not see any Massey service, so I went look at surveille camera, seeing nothing. So I called Massey, the tech came out next day. We used Massey Services for our Pest Control. Earlier this year we had an issue with Mice in our Attic and where told we need to replace our soffits and, we replace our gables. After this we still had the issue of Mice Dying in our Attic. I asked Massey to deal with this many times over many months, all they did was go into the attic near where the access was to add the traps and added the extra outside black boxes as well. The problem continued, we had to live with smelling dead mice and dealing with the flies afterwards for over 3 4 months, about 6 times! Not once did Massey go up into the attic to where the problem was on the other end of our house! It ended up retaining a local company that only extracts Mice and Pest. They went up into my attic to where the issue is and found the nest within 10 MINUTES, they also found that the Mice chewed through my roof vents to get back to their nest! They are going to seal the vent with Stainless Mesh clean up the nest and sanitize our attic from the smell! The worse part of all of this is that I just went to cancel my service with Massey, and they told me I signed a contract that it will take 30 days to cancel my service, well THEY DIDNT HOLD UP TO THEIR END OF THE CONTRACT! This is a horrible experience we have been through which is finally solved through another company as Massey doesnt really know how to deal with **** and Pest as we have horribly lived through. My wife even recorded the scratching, so Massey finally said, oh you have a squirrel problem not our issue, NOT TRUE! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!Massey Services, Inc. Response

Expect LESS and get it should be their slogan! I had weed issues with my provider and contacted Massey. The *** came out on 8/26 measured, took samples and laid out a comprehensive plan. I was to expect a call next day for the implementation date and time window to occur within 3 to 5 business days. Tuesday no call, Wednesday no call, Thursday no call, Friday no call so I called the ***. ** assured me since Monday was Labor Day the tech would be out Tuesday. Tuesday no call no show. I called Wednesday and had a discussion with the General Manager. Very apologetic. told me that was NOT the Massey way and he had personally scheduled me for that day and they would be out to begin services. 3:30 yesterday afternoon I get a call from the tech stating it would be the next day (today 9/5) due to rain. I reminded him it was not raining in Mandarin,sun was out and hadnt rained for 7 hours. Told him to forget it and cancelled the service. I will add that Tuesday would have also been a perfect day as it did not rain until the evening. That said, I switched from a provider that I had for at least a year to possibly get a better handle on the lawn and now Ive found myself searching! I have used Massy Services to treat my lawn for several years. My lawn is full of weeds. I have two large dead spots in my backyard that have been there for several months. Its a shame that I have to call and point these areas out to Massey they dont see them as theyre treating my lawn and realize I need further attention in those areas? I called to speak with someone ended up speaking with the general manager two days ago. she was extremely rude. She talked over me, cut me off constantly and insisted on reading the list of chemicals they put on my lawn that day. I told her I could read that for myself, I still have a lot of areas with weeds all over. My whole yard is full of weeds and my backyard has a pest killing my grass. She was egotistical and wouldnt listen. After getting her robotic, repetitive condescending attitude, I realized she just didnt care at all and hung up. They are always trying to push their irrigation service saying my weeds are a result of Improper irrigation. Rather than their lack of treatment. I have a professional gardener who mows and maintains my irrigation and other things in my lawn . theres nothing wrong with my irrigation system. I have many friends who have their lawns treated and have NO weeds. Its time to change companies. They should stop advertising that they are the best in lawn service because they clearly are the worst that Ive ever used. The management level leaves much to be desired, to say the least. I plan to write a letter to the President of the company along with the Directors outlining the General managers poor attitude and lack of care for Customer **********************.Massey Services, Inc. The worst service ever received from a business/ company that claims to put customer ********************** first. I did hire Massy Services for my lawns in February of 2022 to restore it. After 12 months of services there was nothing to show as far as improvement of my lawn. Few months later, I contacted customer ********************** and complained about the lock of improvement to their service of my lawn. I was told a manager was going to contact me in resolving the problem. Unfortunately, I am still waiting on that call. While I was waiting, service was still being render but with no effect or changes to solve the problem. In June and July of 2023, I did make another call respectively to cancel my subscription/service due to the lock of improvement to my lawns. However, on August 4th 2023, I was billed for another service that I did approved, thinking that my service has been canceled. To avoid going back and forth with Massy Services, I paid for the August service and told them to cancel my service plan with them. It was confirmed by the customer ********************** representative I spoke with that my lawns service has been canceled. Last week, August 12, 2024, I received an invoice of $60.00 for a service in September of 2023 which I did not received. I was also told if I didn't pay the $60 that my credit rating will be affected. I called customer ********************** again and was able to speak with a senior manager who promised to remove the changes. I hope no one goes through this problem.
