I rented a car in April. 2022 from this company in Orlando. I lost the Key at an amusement park which was not recovered. I called this their office to let them know what happened and to get the spare key. To which I was told they didn't have one and I should just call a Locksmith and have them make me a new one. The Locksmith informed me that rental companies are supposed to have a backup key and I should be reimbursed by the rental company ($195). When I returned the car, I was told that I would be charged for the lost key (I accepted that) but wanted reimbursement for the Locksmith. That's when the manager became very rude and called me "Stupid" for losing the key in the first place, and that some cars just don't come with spare keys from car companies. He also claimed that maybe the spare key was lost by a previous renter ( who was probably charged for a lost key as well), but they didn't use the money to replace the spare key so it was available, if needed. When I asked about this, he yelled at me and told me not to tell him how to do his job.

On 8/10/2021 I rented a vehicle from the agency. During the transaction, I was offered and declined toll coverage, as I advised the agency I had my own toll transponder. They advised me that I could not use it and to avoid toll roads. I avoided toll roads as they stated but mounted my toll transponder on the vehicle. When I left the agency on 08/10/21 in Orlando, I did not come back to Orlando until the car was returned on 8/15/21. About a month later the agency billed me for tolls charges from the Central Florida Expressway Authority. I contacted the expressway authority for proof of the vehicle going through the tolls and they advised there were no images because an account was charged and the account holder would have to make contact for additional information. I tried to resolve the issue with the agency and provided irrefutable proof that I could not have amassed the charges but they kept deferring me to the toll agency. I disputed the charges with my credit card company and to prove their claim, the agency provided the toll agency statement and the rental contract. This isn't sufficient proof because I have documentation showing I was miles away conducting other business at the same times as the toll charges. I have provided this proof to the agency multiple times. They are ignoring me and not refunding my money and are causing additional fees with my credit card because of their negligence. They are engaging in unfair business practices. My personal toll transponder account does not have charges on it, which further proves they are wrong in assessing the fees to me. They need to be held accountable and refund the money they have taken from me plus the fees I have been assessed due this. I have the detailed proof and documents and can provide.

This complaint is a correction to my previous one. I originally selected incorrect location. This location however is the one I worked with. They gave me a faulty car I had to maintain. They fraudulently took $400 from me. I have contacted both NU Car Rental and ******* (who I booked through) and neither have offered a solution. I spent an additional $10 to continuously fill up the tires in this car, plus the $100 something I was up charged even though I prepaid in full. This company also goes by Action Car Rental and they are thieves. Please see my complaint for texas location for more detail.
