REAL ESTATE AGENTS BEWARE. Unbelievably unprofessional experience with the Winter Park branch of Integrity Title, specifically with the Branch Manager. I was never contacted regarding the closing appointment for my buyer on Monday. I contacted my buyer at 2:30pm to find out what was going on and he said that he was scheduled for signing at 4:00pm. At the time, we had also not received an ALTA settlement statement, less than two hours from closing. Property closes with a split disbursement authorization, sent well in advance, with instructions to email copies of each check so we can close the file. Additionally, emails were sent confirming where each physical check should be mailed prior to closing. After FOUR REQUESTS FOR COPIES AND TRACKING INFORMATION WITH NO RESPONSE OVER THE COURSE OF THE WEEK, I called the office directly on Friday. The front desk told me that nothing had been done in regards to the checks. I reiterated the instructions that they already had in hand and told them that I can pick up the physical check if need be this afternoon. He told me that the Branch Manager would call me back to confirm. Again, NO RESPONSE. Another request Monday, a FULL WEEK after the property has closed and funds have been dispersed. The Branch Manager finally sends an email that the full check was sent to our brokerage...completely disregarding the disbursement authorization they have had for weeks. When asked why the instructions on the disbursement authorization were not followed, her response was "split checks are a courtesy to the agents and your brokerage will have to do the accounting." I would absolutely think twice about partnering with this company. Especially in today's challenging real estate market. You and your clients deserve better.
