Tried to resolve issue with the owner but got threatened in the process. Told me that adding Denali lights to my motorcycle would void the warranty if I tapped into the wiring harness. Service writer was rude on the phone and questioned my judgement as a competent individual when I explained what I needed and would like them to do the job. Just one wire tapped to the high beam signal wire so the Denali lights would function properly using a supplied dimming module. Seeing Denali is a well-known manufacturer and the cost of the light kit is around a $1000; I would consider them to be above board. I also have over 12 years of experience in electronics but was willing to pay the dealership to install the kit because to do it properly the tank would have to be removed. I suggest the owner look and read the Magnusson Act written by the Federal government concerning aftermarket parts and warranty stipulations. Needless to say, I will no longer be doing business with this dealership. I will be following up my complaint with the Google review and Triumph manufacturer. From now on my Triumph will be serviced in Tallahassee which is only about 35 miles further from my house than your location. What a shame a family-owned business that has lost touch in how to be courteous and professional towards their customer. I do not care how good you think you are being rude and unprofessional is the truest form of disrespect. Shame on you!!

We had several conversations about this issue, and he was never threatened.I also sent him e-mails he didn't respond to.I am very familiar with the Magnusson act, having been a service manager for 43 years. The main issue here,is the customer wanted us to splice into his factory harness,to install some lights.According to Triumph, the motorcycle manufacturer,we CANNOT splice into the harness without voiding the warranty. The Magnusson act says an aftermarket part cannot void the warranty UNLESS it is related to what fails. So if we splice into the harness, something electrical fails,it is NOT covered. We offered to use a separate wire with a fuse, and a handlebar switch to operate the lights, but he wants it to work with his factory switch. He also wanted a while you wait install in our busiest time of year, which also was not possible. We have been here 43 years and know what we are talking about,he just did not want to hear it.He is welcome to call Triumph customer service, they will tell him the same.I do wish him luck on the install, whoever he gets to do it.But he HAS been warned, about the warranty repercussions.Truly sorry he is upset, but i did send him a detailed e-mail explaining all this.
