This roofing company is severely understaffed and pass the cost onto you! Was charged a 67% "labor burden".. I understand about labor shortages but that's honestly not my problem. I signed a contract on March 17th and work was not started until April 24th, almost a month and a half after. They came in $4000 over estimate and I had to pay overages because the home improvement loan I took out only covered all my $1500.. I was in the process of selling and in contract, luckily the buyer didn't bail on me. Customer service is lacking and not as responsive as expected. I was only given the one option of the highest grade shingles as well. They didn't even talk about the 25 year shingles.. This would have been more cost effective for my project. 1 star and that's being generous. I understand it's a family organization and been in business for decades, but maybe a restructure or rebuild of this company would be beneficial.

    Mr. N********,
I must say, I wish that you had come to us with any complaints before going this route. I apologize for any issues this may have caused you, or any misunderstanding there may have been. I know for a fact that when I met with you in your home, we discussed in your kitchen the different options of shingles and that the 3-Tab shingles wouldn't have saved you much and that they do not offer the warranty or curb appeal as the dimensionals would. We also spoke about the scheduling of the installation, I informed you that we were 6-8 weeks out and made sure that would work with any possible closings that you had, at which point you informed me that it wasn't on the market yet but would be soon and that the time frame shouldn't be any issue. As it was, we made every effort to move your job up the install list ahead of many others as your situation changed and we did everything we could to accommodate that.

During our time together I also explained how the rotted wood replacement if any would work. I explained that the wood would be charged on a time and material basis at our raw cost as the contract states and that includes the labor burden without any profit built into the charge. Labor burden is the collective costs of the insurance and taxes associated with the hourly costs per employee working, not an extra charge due to lack of employees.
Unfortunately, there was an extensive amount of water damage from the previous roof install on the front of the house, but we made sure to provide pictures of the damaged decking as well as rafters along with pictures of the repairs that were made. The previous install was not done anything close to building code, the shingles were installed directly over the previous shingles without a dry in applied in between the two which resulted in the extensive damaged wood.

I'm sorry that you don't feel that you had a stellar experience as that is the only kind of customer experience that I wish for any and all of our customers to have with any and all interactions. If there is anything we can do, please feel free to reach out to us! We hope that you have a great day!
