As a long-time patron of a trusted dental practice spanning over 2 decades, my recent experience following the acquisition of the establishment by Bay View Dental Associates has left me deeply concerned. Initially, the transition seemed seamless as I visited the familiar office for my routine checkup. However, my next scheduled cleaning was cancelled due to office closure, redirecting me to the downtown Sarasota BayView location. During my appointment at the new office, I was subjected to an uncomfortable exam by the dental hygienist and Regional Manager, who measured my gums forcefully despite my protests for a gentler approach. They diagnosed severe gum infection which contradicted my consistent oral hygiene practices and prior assessments. Seeking a second opinion from my husband’s Periodontist & Implant Specialist, I discovered no evidence of infection or gum disease, reaffirming the effectiveness of my home care routine and exposing the unjustified claims made by BayView. This experience underscores the importance of caution when selecting dental care providers. It appears BayView’s priorities may lean towards financial gain over patient well-being, as evidenced by their aggressive and unwarranted treatment approach. I urge individuals to advocate for their health and choose reputable professionals who prioritize patient care above all else.

My experience with BayView Dental Associates was with the ****** location on 5/16/2023. I have two concerns. Based on a search done on the ******* **** of Health I can not find that Dr ******************** is a licensed dental practioner in **.Also, an estimate from dentalplans.com was difficult to obtain even though this dental office is listed as participating in the plans. I thought I would be getting a legitimate plan based on two possible plans provided by dentalplans.com. I received an identical plan to the one I received the day before! This leads me to believe that the figures received in the estimate are not legitimate! I was also told that all Aetna plans are the same. I did verify that the estimated cost of a particular crown was $995 when it should be $735. If one looked further into thiis there are probably other examples like this in the BayView estimate. I believe these figures are totally made up Give me back my $99 that I paid for your bogus operation and stop working without a proper license! Also, stop manufacturing estimates that are intended just to suit you.
