            According to information in BBB files, American Disposal Services has a pattern of complaints alleging Service and Refund/Exchange Issues

            Specifically, consumers are stating they are paying American Disposal Services as their trash removal company, but their trash is not being picked up on the scheduled dates. These same consumers are also stating they are contacting American Disposal Services and making them aware of the issue to which they are being told their trash will be picked up at another date and time. However, American Disposal Services does not come on that appointed day either.

            Some consumers are stating they are being offered refunds, but the refunds do not equate to the missed services that were previously paid for.

            On May 13, 2022, BBB contacted American Disposal Services seeking their voluntary cooperation in eliminating the pattern of complaints.

            BBB has received no response from American Disposal Services regarding the identified pattern of complaint.

            I canceled the service on August 1st, 2024 and requested American Disposal to pick up the bins the same day. They refused to pick up the bins immediately and scheduled the bins to be picked up on September 19th, 2020. Since my account has automatic payment set up, the continue to charge me the service for August and November. I called the billing department and was told that they would refund the money charge after picking up the bins. The bins were picked up on September 19th, 2024, yet no schedule refund has been made. They even sent me another bill with the charge of 75 dollars for period of August 1st to October 31st. This company intentionally makes it so hard for customers to cancel their service. I want to (1) contest the charge of 75 dollars and (2) request the refund of 175 dollars charge of forward period although I already canceled the service.
