I had paid my owed payment on the 22nd of August 4 days prior to the specified date and the paperwork had been sent to them after business hours. Totally understandable; however, when I called in the morning to set the appointment I was told the paperwork had not been received. So my bank emailed a new copy to them. After 3 hours I attempted to make an ointment and received the same issue. Besides ***** the office staff is highly unprofessional. The bank contacted them 3 times sending the required documentation for a release of my vehicle. When called they continued to say the release was never received. After my father (over 25 years in the auto industry) called the bank as well as Manheim suddenly they had the release and would allow me to schedule the appointment. It is safe to assume with so much run around and them staging my vehicle they were attempting to auction the vehicle regardless of the release being sent numerous times and them holding numerous conversations with the bank personally. This is coupled with numerous notifications (also in email form) of the vehicle being left on and idle for 1 hour and 32 mins. The office worker ***** stated I promise you we arent just leaving your car running. Even today the car has been running a total of 45 mins.Review from Gina S

Car was stored there for non payment and before the deadline my son paid to get it out and now there's a few issues with it. My son was told Battery is going dead. Motor mount is broken or needs to be replaced. His headlight not working and they shredded his license plates. My sons car was only suppose to be stored their by the 20th before its auctioned off and he reinstate with payment on the 19th. How do we sue this company?? How do I file a lawsuit? I want to sue the s*** out of Manheim.Review from Lionel M

We bought a car from Manheim auction, car CR listed that the car was never involved in any accident. Car arrived damaged with obvious previous accident. Car was delivered to my house and no one cared about contacting me. When I contacted them, they admitted that the car was damaged on their lot but they refused to compensate for the loss. They agreed to take the car back but offered to pay us from the proceeds of their sale of the vehicle instead of refunding us our money. A damaged car will not sell for much and the damage was caused by them and I the victim need to share in the risk of their actions that I had nothing to do with. These are deceitful tactics and plainly fraudulent. They used false advertising. My family suffered so much due to the stress of this process of wasting money on a damaged car and having no drivable car for a week after spending $80000. Its a shame that such a large company would have such poor judgment. I will never buy another car from them.Review from ROBERT P

Today 8/13/2024 we are unable to pay for a vehicle because Manheim has decided to arbitrarily audit dealerships with no notice. They will not unwind a purchase we made on the 12th, while the10 days we have to ship and inspect the car are passing. Once again this as many problems they create become ours. My name is ****, and I own *********** Auto Sales in ***************, *******. Manheim is an unethical company that's getting worse during this economic slowdown. We own a small, independent, family-owned used car dealership, and we've purchased only green-light vehicles from Manheim for over 15 years. Last month, we bought a 2020 Kia ******* that **** Car Rental previously owned. Before even receiving the **** we learned that the title was branded in ******* as a salvage title. We pay extra to purchase ONLY green-light automobiles, so how did this happen? We called the auction, and they said the title is clean IN ****. However, as the title is branded as salvaged IN *******, it cannot be registered in *******, much less sold or EVEN driven. We contacted the ********** of ***** Vehicles in **** and ***********. Neither governmental office has been helpful, and neither **** nor Manheim will take responsibility for this deceitful sale. We recently discovered that this car has been sitting in a Manheim Auction facility since January 2021. We also pay $250 per vehicle for DealShield in case of such emergencies. Manheim refuses to accept the return of the car as arbitrated. This is costing our already slow business $14,535. Something this negligent could put our dealership at risk of closing, putting our 6 employees out of work, and us having to declare bankruptcy. This vehicle is unacceptable to sell, and DMV, ****, and Manheim have stuck us with a defective vehicle, which is only good for parts. My husband is in the Emergency Room as we speak, experiencing symptoms of a stroke due to the stress of this debacle. PLEASE be VERY wary of buying from Manheim Auctions. Use Adesa instead, as that company is much more ethical and honest.Review from David B

Had a problem tonight Wed Feb. 7th with a trucker loading my vehicles to ship to *******. I had left a Suburban I drove to the auction and left in customer parking but the trucker had no idea where it was. Manheim called Central ******* and talked to Mark in security and **** and the lady who talked to **** got it done for me. Thank You both so much. You did a GREAT JOB and I really appreciate it.Review from Yousef .

im a dealer who buys more than 200 cars from manheim nationwide every month.i've bought a car ****** camry with 1.7 CR that needed some bodywork which is fine, i get the car and i get confirmation that was in flood so i do what i should and i place arb claim on it.manheim choses to cancel my claim stating and im quoting "we think that at some point the back windshield was broken at some point and that how water got in the car so it was not a flood so therefore we closing the case" so no manheim making up story on hypothetical things that they make up to protect their sellers and s**** the buyers so i fought it and wanted them to call me and they didnt so what did they do they ran the car without telling me and they gave it 1.3 CR with announcement saying "bioHazard Vehicle" meaning they confrimed my story but they said f*** you they charge us so much money in dealer fees yet they're the most incompantant company out there and i think everyone should know before they do any busniess with them.Review from DUKE R

MANHEIM NY METRO SKYLINE, ** We purchased a vehicle with a NO TITLE HOLD UP announcement. HOwever, that was a false announcement. There is a hold up. The dealer does not even have the Title yet. I have been trying to get the title for two weeks with no luck. I started an arbitration and was told that I could not arbitrate a scam announcement, that is written on the title. I was told that even though it was annonced s no title hold up, because it was not announced as title present that I am unabe to arbitrate. Despite, I asked them before evenmmaking the purchased. *** at Manheim Metro Skyline and others. To retaliate, they decided to hold the tile on another vehicle because they claimed that there was a $9 fee owed to the auction.AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTReview from Patricia P

Manheim should be responsible for the items that were taken out of my 2008 ***** Accord. The items were an Outback Steak gift card and a ****** container filled with quarters, *******, dimes and pennies, this is not too much to ask for. I have all the scratches above my driver side door where the company used the item to open the door then there was some oil spilled under my hood of my car. But, all I'm asking for is my ****** ware container full of coins and my Outback Steakhouse gift card, it's not that hard to do.Review from Jeffrey C
