On 2/19/2024 I took my French Bulldog (Dumplin) to *********** for a C-Section. Everything seemed to be going fine as *********** spoke to me during the surgery. I did notice there were more surgical sponges and ****** gauze being used then what I have experienced during prior surgeries. I was then given medication for my dog as aftercare. While I was still in the surgery room and my dog was still on the surgery table two other clients arrived in the room. One carrying a basket with pups and one carrying a English bulldog in active labor who had been delivering pups in route to the clinic who needed a C- section. I was then told that I could take my pups to the car while *********** finished up and wait in the car while she woke up from surgery. At this time, I was unaware of any issues. While loading my pups into the incubator my adult dog was placed on to the floor behind me and a diaper was placed over her rear. I exited the building with my pups after paying the balance on my account. Finally *********** told me that my dog was not doing well and that her *** (that I didnt know she even got) didnt look good and showed signs that she was bleeding internally but he was not sure where she was bleeding from. He stated he had done all that he could do but I would likely lose her but to take her to the ** vet to try to save her life. I asked how this could have happened and where the bleeding was coming from. He had very few words and had the tech in the room just explain to me about past clients who have gone through the same issues and how their dog died shortly after. The tech then gave me a business card to a local whelper and stated I should give her a call that maybe she could explain to me what was going on with my dog. I left Integrity Animal Hospital as fast as possible and took my dog to another veterinary clinic. After I arrived at the next clinic She had to undergo a blood transfusion and have a spay performed to stop the bleeding internally.
