We are a year into our home. We went under contract End of February 2022/Beginning of April 2022 for a build due to be complete by August 2022. We sent 6% ******* for the contract and moved from southeast Georgia to Meridian in May. Our building updates were far and few between. We got into town on June 3rd and finally toured a model home and the building site on June 4th. So, from April to June, we heard nothing, and everything was moving along. We heard about our first delay when we finally got here in person. We were then told there would be a delay that took us to early October.We (my four young kids, wife, and I) were staying in an Airbnb to bide time to complete the build, then had to move to a month-to-month rental due to the delay. Since my wife and I are disabled veterans, our VA loan was then put on hold, so we could not lock in our rate. Boise Hunter Homes (BHH) did nothing to help the situation, but they did forget our master bathtub after the plumbing inspection. We looked at the progress and noticed no plumbing for the tub. After informing BHH, we were told there was a push, and now there is no closure until the end of November 2022. At the time of lock-in and notification of closing, our rate went from ****% to ****%, thus more than doubling our monthly payment. At this time, BHH offered nothing but threatened us with the loss of the ******* payment.Still, before we closed, we asked for help from BHH in offering us the buydown they were already offering others, asking to purchase already-built homes or models, but we have yet to receive an exception. Also, houses around us, since ours was finished, were completed within 4-5 months or earlier.BHH has no compassion for their faults. They take no responsibility. After a year of owning one of their homes, they have changed the warranty policies on all homeowners due to their poor staff decisions, mismanaged the *** and pools, and failed to meet reasonable business standards on a human level.
