This company came to our door to solicit this job and told us we would be 100% satisfied. Job was done on 5/26/2022 and 5/27/2022. We had big puddles after rain, and he ran the roller over it. When it rained the puddle area was bigger. He kept saying he would be here on a certain day, and he would never show up. I kept calling him and he finally showed up today, 7/25/2022. He sprayed water on the pavement to see where the puddles are. These puddles are worse when it rains and not hot outside. When my wife came out to see them, he kept arguing with her. He told her that she wasn't seeing what she was seeing, and they were both talking loud. Then he said he was not going to stand there and be yelled at, and she asked if it was okay for him to yell. He said he was leaving and at that point walked off telling us he was not going to fix it and we could call the contractors board, then he started cussing and yelling. He yelled at his crew to pack up their stuff (cuss word) then told them they were not fixing it.

      Reference to complaint #********

We have been in contact with said customer. She came out calling me and my son idiots cursing us and discrediting my company, as a business owner I tried to go out in a professional manner and repair what the customer was complaining about, the material was bought to come out to satisfy our customer and there was no reasoning with her, she stated that nothing was going to satisfy her, and her own son told us we might as well leave because there is no satisfying my mom she complains about everything. The job looks great, as a business we believe after several attempts to make her happy this is simply a a case of buyers remorse. We believe we have done our part as a company. We believe nothing is owed to said customer.

      Sincerely,

      ********************* @Wrights Asphalt

I am rejecting this response because:
There is nothing truthful in his response said.  He took his behavior and said it was my wife.  I am 74, my wife is 73, and she does not cuss at people or call them names.  This is the first and only time he has ever seen or talked to my wife, he only dealt with me.  She came out to talk to me and he was halfway up the driveway talking on the phone.  My wife and I were talking about a spot she wanted me to get wet, so I was spraying it when he walked up behind my wife, there was no one else with him.  He asked her how she was doing, and she said she was doing good.   She was watching me when he got beside her and told her it was draining, look at it.  She didnt answer him, so he stepped up beside her again and said look at it, its draining.  This time she told him to stop telling her what she was seeing.  He kept telling her it was just a birdbath, she told him it was more than a birdbath and he said she was wrong.  I told him that I was still running water on it, and the water pressure was forcing it to drain so I would shut it off to see.  As a professional, he should know that if you overflow then it will drain until the excess is gone and youre left with the actual residual, which does not drain.  He kept saying look at it, its draining, and my wife told him to stop, because he was just making her mad, but he kept repeating it, so I told him he needed to stop.  He stopped, stepped back behind her then walked a few feet away from us and stood there for a couple of minutes then he told us he was not going to stand there and be yelled at.  My wife asked if it was okay for him to yell,he said he didnt yell, then he said he was leaving and started walking away.  He stopped, turned back around and yelled at us that he was not going to fix it and we could just call the contractors board.  Then he started walking up the driveway to his crew yelling, cussing, and threw something to the ground.  There was nothing professional about his behavior.   I didnt know he had a son in his crew, but the fact is, he was the only person by us, his crew was halfway up our driveway with the equipment.   He never had a conversation with my son, he was right beside me the whole time, and my son would never say anything like that.  I regret not hiring a real professional who is local instead of hiring someone who knocked on my door to get a job.  As far as buyers remorse goes, he doesnt seem to know what that means.  The picture I attached show the pools of water that were still standing in the heat of the day, after the left.
      Sincerely,

      *******************

      Complaint I.D Number 17620893
      Wrights Asphalt Maintenance 08/18/2022
We are replying to the complaint number above. The responding letter from *********************** over this particular complaint, has many holes in their-said discussion over this matter. Our company was more than willing to fix and make our customers happy with the issue at hand, but, upon arrival to look over this matter, we was met with ill suited behavior, and was told we was Idiots, if I remember correctly. And we was again, willing to come back after being treated so poorly, to accommodate them.
Its clearly a case of buyers remorse, and using your age to pull my companys name under isnt professional either. We have done many jobs local, including your neighbors. I have had contractors license in the state of ***** since 5/15/2013.
And to address another matter, **************** son, never said anything out of his way, only that his mother would never be satisfied to pack up and leave. And ************** followed with an agreement saying she wasnt ever gonna be satisfied.
I was told I didnt know how to do my job, and that I wasnt there to fix the matter, which clearly i was, my equipment and men was all there ready to address the issue.
I would have loved nothing more than to correct this problem, but I am a professional, and all professionals will tell you any parking lot, driveways, blacktop or concrete, will hold birdbaths.
I have personally never been treated so badly, i was met with no respect by **************** wife, from the time she stepped out of her home.

We hired ************************* with ******** Asphalt to grade out driveway and add new asphalt to the side of our house. He did show up and did the asphalt on Monday, June 27th, 2022. We paid him a cashier's check that same day in the amount of $8,500, and he told us he would come back to finish up and clean. Our house is white in color, and now that side of the house where they did the asphalt is really dirty, it has asphalt dirt all over it. About 2 or 3 days after he did the asphalt work we turned on the sprinklers to water that grass and discovered that he broke our sprinkler pipes and once we turned on the water, parts of asphalt went up. We also waited for over a week and did not park on that asphalt, but a week later we parked a car and noticed dents and dings in the asphalt. We have tried calling him, texting him, he is ignoring our calls. We then called the office number and left a message and he apparently got our message because he called yelling at us that he had no service but saw 60 missed calls from us. He was extremely rude and unprofessional yelling at us and telling us to stop calling him so much. Since then we still have not heard anything back from him. He never showed up to finish the job and clean up and fix what they broke. At this point we are ready to hire another company to come fix what *********************** with ******** Asphalt damaged and to come do the asphalt the correct way so we can actually park a car on it and not worry that holes or dings will appear in the driveway.
