*** ***, also known as Gramercy Apts from 8/2016 to 2/2023. I resided there using a Section 8 voucher. Never had any issues, never was an unruly tenant, never was presented with any late notices or anything. While I was living there, the entire property (apartment complex) started to have issues. Multiple buildings lost heat, and the tenants had to be placed in hotels. The buildings started to flood, and started having pest control issues. They started condemning buildings. I moved out on 2/2023. When I turned in the keys, I was notified that I owed a bill of $1000 for yes energy which then was the water service. I have asked them multiple times to produce me the bill that says I owe $1000, and I will pay the bill. They will not produce me a bill. They wanted to speak with my caseworker to tell them verbally that I owed $1000. I will not accept a verbal you owe. I just kept asking for the bill. I've had multiple companies ask Gramercy to produce me a bill for what I owe, and they only wanted to verbally say what I owed. At one time, I went to their office to pay Gramercy, but they only wanted to write me a receipt, and not give me a letter stating it would be 0 balance owed after paying. I found a phone number to the company that provided the water service which was Yes energy. I called the phone number, and the company was out of business.
I would like for the better business bureau to ask Gramercy Apts to produce me with a bill, or remove this inaccuracy from my credit report
