This company fradulently billed me **** dollars. I contacted them and they said the insurance company deined the claim. I contacted *************** and they mentioned they were never contacted. Athletico said they would not rebill. The insurance Company called me back to say they spoke with someone at Athletico and it was taken care of and would resolve in a couple of days. It has been a week and the **** is there with them. I see they are trying to fraduently **** and I will tell everyone about my bad expereince. I want the company to resolve the issue and clear my **** seeing the insurance has paid for my physical therapy.

The athletico facility i went to is in ************************************* Deceptive business practice where I wasn't told the actual cost of physical therapy but was told it was 125/hour for the uninsured. My insurance was actually billed at 440 or more per hour and clipped it at roughly 200 per hour which I have to pay because it's a high deductible policy. Athletico has never sent an itemized **** I know what they did because of the **** EOB forms. The billing was broken down in many segments but there were many add on charges. 20 minutes of the therapy session was sitting in a chair with hot or cold pack on. Much of the actual exercise is self guided without physical therapist involvement. It was rarely one on one except for the massage table.I owe them 994 and want to pay 675. That sounds like not much difference but they actually billed **** **** which was discounted to my 994. Athletico denied to do that. I'm not paying anything instead and don't care about my credit rating as I'm retired and won't need credit rating for a loan

After my services, I received a **** and called ******* at the local Athletico in ****** **. She said that I paid my copay and that I should have not received a **** and to throw it away. IF there were additional fees that would be needed to collect, why didn't they tell me that when they called to confirm with me originally? They told me that they were going to match the in network fees even though I was out of network. I believe that they have done a bait and switch with **** have been calling the local Athletico to try and resolve this issue and called the billing department once, getting no where.I finally received a paper **** and called the local office again. They told me to call *****************, a supervisor in billing. She is basically telling me that she didn't hear the phone conversation and that I have to pay. She offered a discount ONLY if I paid today. While I understand that she didn't hear it, I DO believe that if she can offer me a discount if I pay today, she should also offer the discount with a payment plan, especially since they told me all I would be responsible for it the copay.

This complaint serves as an update to Complaint ID: ********. Updated Complaint dated 2/5/2022: Athletico continues to send me statements claiming that I have an outstanding balance. This is incorrect and continued receipt of their statements is becoming borderline harassment. I have taken the necessary steps to alert Athletico that their statements are in error and have proven that the mistakenly claimed outstanding balance has been paid in full. Athletico should update their records to reflect this and send me a final statement showing that the account is paid in full and no outstanding balance remains. Original Complaint dated 1/9/2022: As of December 12, 2021, Athletico Physical Therapy is incorrectly stating that I have an outstanding balance. Dating back to August 17, 2021, numerous calls were had between Athletico, my insurance company, and myself proving that my account has been paid in full. After all of this, Athletico is still sending me statements saying that I have an outstanding balance and that further collection will be sought. I have notified Athletico in writing that the requested amount has been paid in full and is no longer due and owing. I have also documented all insurance calls, totaling 5 hours of my time. There seems to be a disconnect/issue within Athletico's billing department, as they are incorrectly pursuing matters that have already been resolved. Account #: ****************.

I had a payment plan set up with Athletico. They didn't recieve a full payment... *********** did not email me or call me to inform me of the error that had occurred. It's 2022- they have both my email and my cell phone number... they instead sent ONE letter and then proceeded to send my account to collections. (Who's phone call I answered on the second ring mind you) Any other company with automatic payments set up has the technology to email it's clients when a payment fail.. but after talking to a few of the customer service reps (she said the supervisor wasn't available of course) I've found out they only send one letter and then straight to collections. Sneaky.

I started physical therapy with Athletico on 9/29/2021 and was told that I had good insurance and my insurance would **ver it and if there was a ** pay, they would let me know. I **ntinued therapy without never receiving a **** or being told that my insurance would not pay the full amount. I was told that if I owed something, they would let me know. I stopped going to them as I felt that they were just taking the insurance money as they didn't really do anything new with me and now I have got a **** for $1200 that I don't have. If this was discussed with me prior to me starting the physical therapy, I would never have went to them as I do not have this type of money. I feel that they misled me and I never would have agreed to go to them, I would have went somewhere else. I was never told that I would have to pay anything and never agreed to this. I have also seen that there are many BBB **mplaints against this same business for the same thing, not disclosing the insurance **verage and if there would be a ** pay or I would be out of pocket for any **sts.
