Attended an initial assessment appointment to ***** the need for a dental procedure. Details on initial appointment: - Date of assessment appointment: 12/27/2023 - Quote: $1,287 for "treatment" and $333 for internal tooth bleaching - Payed $105 on 12/27/2023, was told this was going to be applied towards the balance * the signed estimate given on 12/27/2023 is attached I later scheduled and attended a follow up appointment for only the internal tooth bleaching. Details on follow up appointment: - Date of follow up appointment: 5/17/2024 - Quoted cost of bleaching: $333 *the second statement is attached On the day of the second appointment, I went into this appointment under the impression I would be paying $222 for the services I signed off on. However, after my appointment was over, I was informed by office that they had discounted a number of additional procedures done that day but my total was close to $500. I left that day, stating I needed to speak to the manager about my bill as I was not informed about any additional procedures done that day. I spoke to an office manager a few days later over the phone during which I was told another story about how they would discount (or not charge?) for the additional procedures, but the cost of the appointment would be $333. When I asked about the $105 amount I payed already on 12/27/2023, I was told by the office manager then that could not be applied to the final cost because I had not elected to move forward with the treatment procedure on 12/27/2023. Confused by this answer, I have been in touch with the billing department from ****** about their policies and at this point have gotten yet another story from them, about how they have already applied discounts to my bill (this was not communicated) and to much time has passed (there was no language, communication, or information about a timeline where the amount payed on 12/27/2023 would no longer be recognized). I believe they are over charging for services.
