CDA is not a debt buyer. Therefore much of this complaint is invalid. However, due to the age and nature of this debt, we will schedule it to be deleted from the credit bureaus. Thank you.

I was rear-ended in March of 2021 and had to go to the hospital for MRI and X Ray. This accident triggered a lawsuit which reached a settlement. My lawyer PAID my hospital bill as part of the settlement. So when I see this company showing up on my credit report, I call this collection agency and end up with THE most unhelpful person I've ever interacted with. When I explained my situation, all she said was "where's the proof of payment?". I told her that my lawyer has copies of all the records and I could provide her email address/contact number. When this woman was done literally laughing at me, she said "I am NOT doing YOUR LEGWORK". Great attitude to have when someone's trying to resolve a debt. Her only explanation for why this bill is still outstanding is "Radiological Consultants bills differently from the hospital". As if I'm supposed to understand what that means.I had to visit with SEVEN different medical providers after this car accident. Every single one of them has been paid, in full, by the settlement, except your client? Strange. The only explanation i can think of is ************************************* did send my attorney a copy of my medical bill (because it would've gotten paid from the settlement if they did. Thats the law.)To come after me and put a dent in my credit score TWO YEARS after the fact, and then act like I'M the bad guy and tell me straight to my face that you're not going to help me in any way, shape or form is so beyond frustrating. I am requesting that this be dropped from my credit report as this was part of a lawsuit that involved ALL medical providers being paid. Also, train your people better and listen to your recorded phone calls. The way I was treated today was disgusting.

I received 2 statements from them stating that I owed a total of $3,716.00. This was either ************************************************************* error or Grundy County Radiologists error since this is not my debt. Per instructions on the statements, I filed a protest on-line stating that this was not my debt and requesting statements from Grundy County Radiologists showing the date and location of service and service provided and awaited a reply. I never received a reply, so I called them this morning and was told by 2 different people that this debt had been cancelled and that it was initially filed in error. When I requested a written confirmation of the debt cancellation, I was told that was not possible. Had I not called, I would never have known that this debt had been cancelled. I believe that is negligent and that they should have sent that information to me in writing without having to request it. And barring that, that they should have been willing to send a written confirmation upon my request.
