My husband and I needed a new truck. His old one died and he needs a truck for work. We bought a Nissan Titan from T&C and was told the only problem it had was it was stuck in 4 wheel drive but they fixed it and now it was in 2 wheel drive (turns out they just unplugged the 4 wheel drive) and we would have to have the wiring to the switch looked at. That should have been our first sign to walk away, but we were in desperate need of a truck so we bought it. We didn't even have the truck a week and the transmission started slipping. It also still drives like it's in 4 wheel drive and the dash is lit up saying 4 wheel drive on. We talked to the owner and he told us to take it to the shop. When my husband called their shop he was told they didn't work on transmissions. Now we are dealing with the transmission, and twice the back tire has come off the truck while my husband was driving the truck. The first time it happened he was on the highway thankfully he was not hurt. When talking to the owner we were told this is up to us to fix. They sold us a death trap and told us it was our problem now and we have to fix it. We will never buy a car from them again no matter what the circumstances are. They seem to get cars that look good with a lot of mechanical issues and don't feel bad about sending people out in a vehicle that will leave them stranded. They don't even deserve the one star I gave them but you have to put something. Definitely buyer beware. After posting this review on their Google page, the owner called my husband and told him that I needed to take my review down. He also lied saying they had just gotten the truck in that day when we had been looking at it online for a couple days. He questioned why we didn't bring it to his shop and my husband told him that we were told by the people that run his shop told us they did not work on transmissions. He had nothing to say to that. He isn't willing to make things right but wants me to remove my review.

This customer is lying on multiple counts, they were aware that we had just gotten the truck into inventory, "a few days is classified as just" and we had not had time to inspect the truck or fix the four-wheel drive. They were in a hurry and wanted to buy it, with a discount in its existing condition.

As the owner of the company, I am not going to argue with someone over what was said or not said months ago as that is nothing but opinion and hearsay.

What I will do is stand behind our written warranty to its fullest extent, and in this case, I even offered to help beyond the warranty limitations had expired and advised the customer to take the vehicle to any transmission shop and get an unbiased opinion of the transmission condition. He asked me where he should take it, and I suggested the largest transmission specialist in the city who has been in operation for at least 40 years. The customer reported to me that the transmission specialist did not find a major failure.

As for the tire and wheel issue the husband called me the first day he had an issue with it, and this was at least 6 weeks after they had owned the vehicle. My question was, how could this possibly have anything to do with our company and now she says it came off again after they had it re-installed. Tell me how that is our fault?

    In summary,

-Our advertisement and our written paperwork encourages every potential buyer to take their time and inspect our used vehicles any way they choose before they enter a contract to purchase.

-This is a 16 year old vehicle with over 150,000 miles.

-We sell vehicles at all levels of condition and price is relative to that level.

They have failed to talk about the age and price range of the vehicle or how long they have owned it or how many miles they have put on it since they purchased it.

This customer has driven this vehicle in who knows what kind of manner since they purchased in mid-June and now in late August they are expecting it to be a new vehicle.

This customer purchased a vehicle that was less than 20% of what a similar new truck would have cost them.

We have been in business since 1999 at this location and have thousands of sales and service customers that will attest to our integrity and value for the dollar.

We were not aware the truck had just come in that day like I said in my review we saw it online for at least a day or two before we went to get it. Yes we were in a hurry that's how my husband makes his living. I thought it was common practice to check over vehicles when you get them in before posting them for sale. I guess not at your lot. Our mistake was not reading your reviews before buying it seems you are known for selling vehicles with mechanical problems. You may have been in buisness since 1999 but you are not good at customer service. A bit of advice from now on before you market a vehicle maybe put it in your shop and have it looked over for problems.
