We had a Terrible experience with Southwick. We went into their buisness and selected our granite & edging with their employee & asked to be put on the schedule. We were not put on the schedule and then were called to come back into their showroom and again show them what granite we wanted because they could not provide us with a sample when we were there & what edging we wanted. We were then e-mailed stuff to sign for the job to FINALLY get done weeks after we should have been on the schedule. Fast forward to the day our granite got installed and I come home to see the granite that was installed was not in fact the granite that we drove to their showroom 2 times and physically touched and showed their employee what we wanted. I will say that upon looking later the paperwork they sent us and we did sign had the wrong granite name on it. When we called to talk to owners all we were told was that they have to hold their customers accountable and that they are trying to run a buisness and it was all our fault. When asked about holding their employees accountable we were just told that they are doing thier best. The woman was very rude to both my husband and I and really showed no compassion or care for the situation - we were not making any demands about what needed to happen to make it better, and honestly would have been happy with a few hundered dollars back to try and reconcile the situation, but to be treated rudly multiple times and again share that they were just christians trying to run a business and she had to hold us accountable while taking NO responsibility in the situation was so sad. We will never use them again and will let others know to stay away. I also now have noticed that there was another customer on their site that had left a negative review, about getting wrong product, and I can not longer find that review.

I am the owner and the one who spoke with Mark first and then his wife. This job was completed in May of 2022. I was made aware that they were upset after install because they said they received the wrong material. Upon looking into their file they had two granites wrote down as options. They ultimately signed off and approved Caledonia. When I spoke with Mark he mentioned another granite that was never even mentioned throughout the folder notes or emails from them. I explained that to him and he became verbally aggressive and cussing at me. I let him vent for awhile as I know sometimes that's what people need. He continued with saying that he would not pay for the work done as we need to hold our employees accountable. As he continued to yell I gave him two warnings that if he was going to use foul language I would hang up the phone. He did not stop so I hung up. The wife shortly later called me and said she had just spoke with her husband about our conversation. I told her that I did have to hang up the phone as he was being verbally aggressive and talking to someone that way, let alone a female, will not be tolerated. The wife said she understood but immediately went into the wrong material being used. I apologized that they were not happy and explained that we had no notes of this other material that they wanted. She began to blame our employees saying they need to admit when they made a mistake. I again explained that I would talk with our employees but from what I am seeing there was no mention of another material. The wife said she was going to make a review on the BBB and asked if we were members, which I said we were not. She said she would leave us a bad review and tell everyone that we were not a good company. This was in May.
As a business owner we have found that there are some people who will never be happy and will complain about any and everything. There are some who are always discount seeking and it was about the time of this job that we realized we should not take blame when we did not have a fault. This review mentions they would have been happy with a few hundred dollar discount. When I talked to them on the phone in May they said they wanted $1500 discount. I would also like to point out that they have wrote a Facebook review months ago and are now continuing to do this almost 6 months later. They just aren't stopping and seem bitter.
