I took a healthy cat and left with a very sick cat. Porsche was to receive her Rabies vaccination. Two women came in, there was very little conversation. I asked about my vet and she said she was new from Georgia. They left and came back with Porsche's vaccine. The girl who gave the vaccine just plunged the needle into Porsche's leg. In the past, Vet's grab a handful of skin then give the shot. Porsche didn't eat or drink for two days and she couldn't walk. Her eye was swollen shut and her head was tilted sideways. I called the vet and the admin said to call back in a couple of day then hung up on me. I tried to talk to a Vet but was unable to reach one. I went to their website and tried to email, but it only goes to the Admin. I called again and told the Admin that I think Porsche is dying. She put me on hold and no one picked up. I hung up after several minutes. I called my son in Georgia and told him I might have to put Porsche down. He asked me to wait until his day off. He flew up on that Tuesday and Porsche was doing a little bit better. She was learning how to walk again but she still wasn't eating or drinking. We switched food to broth. William flew back to Georgia and I tried emailing hoping I could speak to a Vet. The Admin called. My phone said, "Private Call". I usually never answer those, but I did and it was the Admin. I asked why it said "Private Call" and she said she was using her own cell phone instead of the office phone. I asked why I was charged for a full exam when an exam was never performed. The Admin said it was the law when giving a rabies shot. I told her that I shouldn't pay for something I didn't get. She hung up on me. I filed a grievance with the Ky Board of Veterinary Examiners. Porsche still walks with her head tilted sideways and her eye is still infected and swollen. I have spent hundreds of dollars visiting two different vets because I don't trust anyone and I wanted a second opinion. So, pet owners please beware of these veterinarians.
