    I have been a customer of Heartland Foods for the past three years and have reordered their signature farm-raised meats and vegetables on at least two occasions over that time. Initially, I was impressed by the quality of the food and their promise that their foods are all healthy and organic. However, in the past year, the company has changed significantly. Their website seems to be completely non-functional to the point where you cannot place an order or even send an email. Their website goes to non-existent pages when you click on links provided and, in some cases, simply displays an error when you try to place an online order or send an email to their webmaster. E-mails to departments such as sales @ heartlandfoods.com, support @ heartlandfoods.com, info @ heartlandfoods.com are returned with an error. Even attempts to email employees like the owner, ****** *********, and Sales Operations Lead are returned with errors indicating that the employees are no longer at Heartland Foods. This was extremely concerning. When I finally reached someone at what is now called Five Star Foods, they told me that I could not reorder from the website and must make an appointment for one of their sales reps to call me back at a scheduled time to place my order. But, when I scheduled a date/time to reorder, I never received the call, and I have been unable to reach the company since then. Every call during working hours goes to voicemail. This makes me wonder whether my initial investment in their special freezer and the food price discount I supposedly have for the next two years are just a scam. Beware of this company. It has all the signs of being a fraud or on the verge of bankruptcy.
