I utilized their service to prepare and file my taxes for 2022 in hopes of incorporating tax strategies that would reduce the level of taxes I owed, and while this was the initial outcome, I was later informed by the *** that part of the filing had not been done correctly which created a tax exposure. When I brought this to their attention, the preparer said the way she had prepared my taxes had been acceptable in the past, but the *** used a rule within their discretion to require a different type of filing. I was not advised upfront of this possibility. After she was unsuccessful at having the audit protection group engage to resolve the matter (because it was not an audit issue), I was given multiple alternatives to paying the tax by her, which by this time was not appeasing to me given the matter at hand and I simply paid what they were asking me to pay.Initially I decided the experience was a ****** learned and had moved on, until today when I advised the preparer that I'd received something from the ****************************** related to the same matter. Previously she advised that if I ever received a letter regarding the taxes, to send to her. But rather than provide me with an understanding of what I should do as a result of the letter, she indicated, "They did leave a phone number. If you would like further clarity about their letter, you can contact them for further understanding of what they're requesting you to do." I told her that the tone of her text was disappointing and ended by saying she did not have to concern herself with receiving any addition inquiries from me. What is now prompting this letter is the barrage of texts in all CAPS from her that followed, which were effectively chastising me for my expression of my thoughts and perspective regarding her response to me. I found this to be very unprofessional especially given the ******* of the entire issue was an error made on their part, which cannot be disputed.
