On the morning of November 23, 2021 a tow truck showed up at my house. The driver of the tow truck came to my door and said, 'I'm looking for ***************************. I'm here for the **** Explorer." I said Jonte does not live here. "He said the bank wants the car back." I said this is the first I've heard of this and did not know what he was talking about. I said I would have to call my daughter and see if she knew what this was about. He said I'll wait. The first major complaint I have about this driver is he showed no paperwork to me whatsoever with instructions to take the vehicle -None! I called my daughter and she said she had not gotten anything about a repossession of her car and wanted to call Ally and find out what this was all about. I went back to the driver to tell him that my daughter is calling Ally to figure out what is going on and what needs to be done. He handed me his card and as he walked away he accused us of hiding the car. I said we are not hiding the car. He then said, "Tell her if I find the car, she will be walking." The driver's behavior was completely unacceptable and rude. I was especially offended because I am a contact for the loan, not the loan holder. My daughter and I are not criminals. We would not go so far as to hide a vehicle. The driver's accusations of us were completely uncalled for.Business response

We over paid on the payoff of a loan on October 6th (that is the day they receive via ***** our cashier check). They have still not processed our return funds. I was told that they hold checks for 18 days claiming the funds would be release, title cleared and sent to us. It is now Nov 28th. They have not sent the title, or the overpaid funds of close to $800. I called them again on Wednesday. Spoke to a manger who confirmed nothing was proceeded. He would reach out to the back room and call me either Friday or Saturday. No call has been received. This loan was always in good standing with on time payments and paid off 2yrs early.I want my lean release, title and overpayment.Business response

Ally has cost me thousands of dollars due to their handling of buyout process of leases. First you must payoff your complete lease before you can sell it because Ally charges about $10,000 extra if you try to trade your car to any other dealer than you leased it from! Then, it takes many phone calls and transfers to various departments and excruciating wait times and wrong information (to include a lie by customer service who said they put me on the "list" to get my buyout docs to sign on-line when only the "buyout" department can do that, so another extra 2 day unnecessary delay). I finally received a buyout notice and sent the Cashiers check immediately for the FULL amount. Then more waiting due to a backup in processing ***** I finally got a person in the buyout department to acknowledge my Cashiers check (that although received it hadn't been updated yet in their system). One rep finally processed the online docs for the online title. Then I get the paper title in the mail which listed ALLY as owner still and the words "VAULT" on it. I also received documents to transfer the title to my name and find out I have to go to DMV to remove them before I can sell it on my own. Even though it's been registered and I've paid the taxes for 3 years it looks like I must pay $2500 plus in taxes again and take off another work day! To top it off I get another buyout in the mail in which they owe me $300 plus for overpaying. Why couldn't they just have put the title in my name? Why did they make me overpay? Also, these delays havr cost me to lose my next car purchase of a great deal. Never had these issues with a lease before and I've had MANY leased vehicles. Serious improvements need to be made by Ally. I need my $300 buyout difference returned, a proper title issued, and a release of lien, which they also never provided.Business response
